An all time cherishable gift to my best friend?

Hi ,
Its my best friend's bday that is coming soon.. And i wanna gift a very special all time cherishable gift. Its my first gift since i have started earning and i am not sure if i will be able to attend my friend's next year bday personally, which makes this bday of my friend and the gift very special for me . So please everyone can you suggest something which my friend can keep all throughout her life and feel happy about it. HELP HELP HELP..

Well,I suggest that you can customize a magazine. There are many shops on the Internet can make the magazine. You send some material to them,may be some photoes,some artical.You can collect all her photoes,and write a small paragraph besides the photo. The photoes can be take when she was a child,or she was a student,or some anniversaries.

If it was me, then I would think of something that I would be able to make to give to my friend. For example, if you have a lot of pictures of the two of you together you could make a scrapbook of sorts or, if a scrapbook isn't your cup of tea, then you could take several of the pictures that you've got of the two of you together and get a collage picture frame and fill that with pictures of you and your friend together. I've received gifts like that and they are something that I still cherish today.

The Pictures gift has already been done last year and believe me that is the one my friend cherishes still today. and nothing i give after that can beat the nostalgia the picture frame brings . that is why its getting tougher to plan the gift. :)

It's important to remember that to make a present perfect, it has to be straight from the heart and personal. Although buying one is perfectly okay, nothing beats effort and personalized creations. Here are some of presents I used to give my friends.
A Photoshopped photo with different pictures of special times I've spent with them.
A little trinket I may have no idea making, but with Youtube's help is doable.
A scrapbook of stuff having significant values such as receipts from places you've gone to.

Well, I'm into giving someone special something i made myself. I mean, i know you earn the money yourself, and if it is used to get something with your touch on it, it will be brilliant. Pick something that she will like and treasure. Get her jewellery or accessories. Does not have to be expensive one, but enough to commemorate her birthday and your friendships. I got a key-chain, made of steel, from my friend back in school days. she custom-made it for a few buck to have my name on it. And among my treasure, that one at top 5 :)
