I hate my body!

I think there is no other better place to complain about this issue than here in mylot. So forgive me. But! Really! I hate my body! For the past three weeks I've been trying my best to cut down on carbohydrates. I eat only half rice or less in every meal since then, but I eat as much meat as I for body tissue growth. I exercise 3 to 4 times a week for 30 minutes and done other activities at home. I don't use the computer as much as before because I try to focus more on physical activities. however, there are drawbacks! 1. my family loves to eat and always serve non diet food on the table 2. it's summer and the intense heat make me more fatigue, and less energy to keep moving around. 3. my own metabolism. Whether I eat less or a lot I usually get hungry after 3 hours or sometimes earlier. My stomach aches and bothers me a lot. I try to sleep it off at night and forget about my hunger, but I couldn't sleep at all unless I eat something. -sigh- I'm really depressed about this. I want to get a flat tummy, slim toned arms and legs to improve my physique but I don't see any changes yet. I suppose I am very impatient or am doing something wrong with my diet and exercise routine. Can anyone give me some tips for this problem? even some words of encouragement? LOL, I know I'm asking a lot, sorry, anyway, thank you!

Normally a diet is a change of habits and not a punishment for three weeks. I would recommend you to have a conversation with your mother or family to get their help and solidarity. Then I would eat alternatives that are filling and can make you slim down. There is a very nice helper: broth. If you can have a pot of broth nearby, drink a cup (or half a cup) every time you are hungry. You can do it every hour if you wish: just make sure you got the fat out. If you are vegetarian, make a veggie soup (no rice or other carbos inside). As for the rest of the food, if you are not that hungry (and you won´t be), you can eat very small helpings of all that is on the table and not feel deprived or anxious. Check online about the Mediterranean diet and adapt it to your eating culture. I think it´s the best.

Thank you. My mother is also on a diet and exercises with me, so now it's not so difficult for me to keep this new lifestyle. I'll try those broths then. And search for that mediterranean diet.

Your body needs time to get used to your new diet this will take between 3-6 weeks! Sounds to me you don't give your body time for that. So the only tip I can give you is: find out when you eat most and just be not there. During summer it's easier to eat salads and soup (low calories hardly carbohydrates). Eat eggs, meat, cheese if you are really hungry. Drink a lot of water (before you eat). And keep in mind that you will like your body, the way it is now, in 10 or 20 years. At that time you wish you had the body you have now!

Thank you for those thoughtful tips. I didn't know it would take that long for my body to adjust. I'll do those things then. Need to visit the supermarket to buy some vegetables for my salad.

You're not the only one. Many of us hate our bodies, but we have to accept what we have. I would love to have a flat stomach and a slim body, and I know a lot of people who would, but it takes the right kind of diet and a lot of exercise.

it certainly ain't easy during modern times, since we are too reliant on machines and vehicles to do the work for us. LOL, not to mention they offer food and most of them aren't healthy either.

stop what you are doing, you killing yourself or something? i too is on the big size, i actually want to improve my body to be healthier.. but then if you are having those stomach aches then what you are doing is not good for your body now. i always believe that if you want to loose weight, improve your body is there is one that should be happy it should be your body as your mind. Your state of mind is also not balance even. do not rush it, it will get you nowhere, i was 65kl and now i am at 58 kl..and though it takes time i am happy about it as i am healthier, i do not get tired easily and i can do much much work than before and i am happy. I minimize carbo in take but totally not deprive my body of it. and i still love food and eat what i want..the thing is i just move more, increase metabolism..and keep my mind off it. or else i ll go crazy you can do it just dont go into that depressive state my friend.

Thank you for encouraging me. I guess I was disappointed that my gains did not match my sacrifices. I will start to have a more positive state of mind and use a positive approach to keeping myself healthy and fit. Maybe I'll try that hula hoop thing, it's good aerobic exercise.

Hello Aja, If you hate your body, you will not be able to make changes on it. Start changes by accepting your figure and love the way it built. If you think of losing weight you can do it by focusing in your prospect body weight. How many pounds you want to eliminate from your body at present? First, we can't lose weight by pursuing ourselves to eat less, starve yourself and later it ends up digging in again, more and more.. -Drink a glass of water before each meal that will help you eat less, because your water intake make you fell full and it occupies your intake of food. -Less your intake of fatty foods but don't eliminate them, especially dairy products, red meats replace them with vegetables and fruits. -Less intake of carbohydrates and junk foods, sweets and softdrinks.Drink plenty of water to help you flush out the toxic from the body.Water help in detoxifying the body. -Avoid eating 2 hours before bedtime if your hunger strikes drink some water or chew a sugarless chewing gum to help you forget your cravings.Give sometimes for the food to subside before sleep because the digestive system tend to stop working while we sleep and if the food don't have enough time to subside it will surely stuck. - Exercise regularly a 20 mins work out will help.Longer exercise is not necessary, a regular one is just fine and make it a habit. -Lastly don't starve yourself or it will end up into frustration. Start to love your body and achieve your ideal weight. Hope it helps... Have a nice day!

Okay, thank you, i will do my best not to hate my body XD Hmm... that's hard, I have become quite scared to take a look at how much i weigh now. I rely only on observing how my body looks, see if that annoying flab over my abdomen has lessened even just a little. -is it okay if i drink water while i eat and drink a bit more after eating? Cause when i drink water before i eat, my stomach gets all sensitive and makes me want to go to the toilet.

I think the most important is not to hate your body. I hope the following suggestions can give you help. 1. Early to bed and early to get up. Drink 1 cup of water every morning. 2. Have 70% food of your normal meal every meal. Better more vegetables and fruits. 3. Do exercise regularly and keep doing for your planned time,eg.1 month or 2 month to see the result.

Hello there, I will suggest you to eat some low calories food - sweet corn in can; beetrot, vegetable or fruit when you are hungry between meals. When you eat, please try to eat as slow as possible so that you can taste the food and digest it better. Meanwhile, your stomach will feel full quicker. During and before the meal, try to drink some water will help filling up your tummy. Hope this helps.

I don't know how big you are but I just want to share my story. Before, I was so petite and slim. People would say, "you're sexy". I was picky with food then and I was contented with my body. But when I found my last bf who is my husband now, he always treated me to restaurants, brought foods and sometimes cooked food for me, that was the time when my body began to grow and baby fats, hips, waistline started to grow. I couldn't wear my clothes anymore so I had to buy new ones and wear those big clothes I hid. I began to realize that being fat is not bad. It makes you look healthy, it makes your skin glows, cheeks bloom and makes you huggable. Though I am not that fat, compared to my body 1-2 years back, it has a big difference and I love my body more now. I can now wear clothes I never thought I would wear.

The clothes i want don't look good on me. That's when I become really sad. I was out shopping yesterday, searching for cute blouses and other clothes but I bought none since they don't really fit me well. I used to be really small before. 90 lbs and 5 feet tall. Now I'm 105 lbs, last time i checked. I'm afraid to look at my weight since if i see any increase even though i did my best dieting and exercising, i might get discouraged and stop altogether. You are very fortunate to have a husband who is a good cook. I wish someday i will have such a husband XD

i think you must be comfort with your body if you want to re-organize your body, as long as did not make you suffer, go ahead but don`t push yourself for doing a hard exercise only for reducing the fat..

Hi, Aja! You've got plenty of good advices here. I'd like to emphasize on one of them. Don't say that you hate your body. The word "hate" is noxious and you shouldn't do such a harm to yourself. We all should learn first to love ourselves - the way we are. Then you can make all the changes you want. I wish you to succeed.

I don't have the money to afford going to the gym much less see a doctor for consultation. I'll have to do everything on my own in my own home. but thank you for that kind suggestion.

Join the Club!!! I hate my body too. My body is so unproportioned, its not funny. My stomach is the biggest thing on me. I hate it..... I was over weight for many years, on and off since my early teenage years. Although, I have lost a lot of weight, I still have that damn stomach. I have come to realize that and accept ( sometimes I wonder if I really have accepted this), my stomach is not going anywhere, no matter what I do. I can wear size 8-12, but still have a huge stomach. It is mainly my lower stomach. Eating and dieting is about changing the way you think about food. Learning to change your behavior in your eating habits, will help you cut down on the amounts, and the kinds of foods you eat. You really have to want to change for this to happen. The more you exercise, the changes will come. Being patient and this is the hardest part. It was for me, and still is.

Those are good tips there, maya. It's tough having this bulge in our lower abdomen. I have the same problem. Most of my trouble with clothes is the arm area, the upper arm area because it's huge, that when i wear some clothes, i can barely move my arms and my jeans hurt when i wear them, especially when i sit down or squat lol
