I was shocked when I open my Gmail account then there is a message that my account was recently accessed from different IP in Kyrgyzstan yesterday. I immediately changed my Gmail password and put second verification log in to ensure that my account will never be access by other people. I don't know how they got my password. Did you experience a scenario like this? You can advice or suggest some precautions to those who are also a victim just like me. It will be a great help.

Well, it's not my gmail but my paypal account. At first I wonder why I am receiving a notification from paypal the I sent an amount to to a certain person, I was astonished for I did not send anything to someone to somewhere. I'd rather not change my password or something, but I'll make another account.

When you mentioned about paypal, I immediately checked my own. I couldn't let the earnings from my hardwork be sent to hackers like those people. I got nervous there huh.

After reading what had been happening around in the internet scene, your incident just does not come as any surprise to me. I think it would be a golden rule to always be careful when we are online. Remembering to protect our computers with various security software and being safe when we surf and/or access our emails. There are rules to remember - so do be careful.

I haven't experienced such yet but I am also hoping to never do so. However, my niece have had one with her Facebook. I immediately told her to change her password and replace it with numerical and small and big letter characters. I also try avoiding opening my accounts in public places and Wifi Hotspots because there's always a tendency that your packets could get intercepted. As for the Paypal user who got hacked, I'm so sorry to hear that. A friend of mine got herself scammed and she was banned from Paypal even though she had nothing to do with it. Remember to never open your Paypal in internet cafes. Try using a virtual keyboard when inputting passwords and try not to use easily figured out personal information such as your birthday, partner's name or even your close kin's names.

I got a similar message about two months ago, my gmail account was accessed from Norway. Well at least gmail notifies us about it... but it was shocking for me too. I don't know what else we can do about it except for changing our password and then changing it regularly. It's good to have a password that is different from the ones we use for other important accounts.
