Or any other animal for that matter?

I think our latest - Preiti - chose us. She walks through our gate - a wee bit of a pup and laps up the milk that we offered her. We got instantly bonded and she is with us now since the last 4 odd years. It was the best that has happened both for her and us.

I find the ones who choose me are the ones who seem to make the biggest impact on my life I love them all but there seems to be something special with the bond between me and them

Pretty much all the animals I've had I've chosen or someone else chose for me. However, there was one dog years ago that chose me. He wasn't as attached to me as your pets, but he still chose me.
My current dog my youngest chose. I have to say she's attached to everyone here! LOL More so to my husband and I, but she's attached to our kids as well.
Happy mylotting!

Animals are like humans, they don`t just become friends with anyone or anything they meet, they get to know them, their attitude and lifestyle. Once they get to observe this and see how well you treat yourself and itself, it would come to like you.
Hope I helped!

I think it is a two way street, that we choose the dog, and the dog chooses us. I remember getting my first dog at the shelter, I saw her and she was so different from the others. She just sat there not barking, looking up at me and wagging her tail. I thought maybe...went to another shelter, and couldn't get my mind off of her! I had to rush back to adopt her before anyone else would and it has been a great friendship since.

That's how I got my rabbit I work at the shelter and could not get him out of my head for days and when someone came to look at rabbits I told them he was adopted without even thinking he came home the next day

A stray cat once wanted to choose me, but I have slight allergies and my mom wouldn't let me bring the cat home... I know, I'm silly that I want a cat with some slight allergies for fur, but still, I love cats. It was a really skinny ( I guess it was starving so bad), thin black cat, and it had the saddest eyes ever... It legitly put its tiny paw on my sandal/foot and was meowing so sadly. I hope someone has taken it home :(...
