CRT TVs

Does anyone still have or use CRT TVs? I have a couple of CRT TVs, I was trying to get rid of one or give it way. At first I tried the pawn shop, they said they no longer take them. I brought it to a chairty organization, they said they can't take tvs. I'm wondering, does anyone want anything to do with CRT TVs anymore? I know they're outdated and they're bulky, but they have advantages. I hear they're pretty durable, they're good for video games and stuff. The only disadvantages are, they are kinda bulky, and most can't output to HD, unless they are a HD CRTV. In America, it seems CRTs are fading away pretty fast, I'm not sure about other countries.

I've still got one. It came out of the garbage bin, and one day will go back (except we are not allowed to put them in the garbage anymore as they must be recycled!)
I seldom watch TV so I don't care if this is old or not. I certainly wont be buying a new TV ever!

Ah I see. Yes CRT TVs are slowly or fastly becoming things of the past. LCDs are becoming cheaper to buy. It would be nice to have a LCD, but I hear CRT are good for video games, especially old school games. Another disadvantage I forgot to mention, is that they can be hard to store, due to their bulkyness.

I am still using 3 CRT TV's. They aren't broken and I don't really have the money to replace them now. If you want to get rid of one, you should try seeing if there are any clubs or senior centers that might take it. I don't think that throwing them away is environmentally proper since there is a lot of lead solder in them. You might see if there is a recycling center near you.
