Waking up routine..

Daily routine - Daily routine when I wake up! Funny! :))

Every day when I wake up, the first think that I do after getting out of bed is to wash my face, make a cup of coffee and prepare my breakfast. I open my laptop and check my e-mails while drinking my coffee, I make my daily plan and I prepare for work. This is my routine, I do the same every morning. If I don't do one of those things I think that my day goes wrong! For example, if I don't drink coffee or have breakfast then I won't have energy for the rest of the day, if I don't make a list of the tasks I need to do, I will forget something important. Does everyone has a daily routine in the morning or is it just me? And how do you feel if one day you oversleep and skip some parts of your routine?

Everyone has a daily routine and if not everyone then almost everyone. It's weird but when I forget to do something or just skip some steps of my daily routine I feel like I betray myself.

Yes, I understand that feeling. Sometimes it is surprising how much I like my daily routine! Thank you for your comment :)

I am not a morning person at all. So I have my clock set 30 minutes ahead so when my alarm goes off I have the luxury of hitting the 'snooze' button and go back to sleep. This goes on for the next 30 minutes...then I'm ready to get up and start my day. My friends laugh at me but I feel like I'm giving myself a treat each morning and it works for me!!!

Haha :) I have a friend that does that as well! I am trying to save every last minute of my morning sleep, so I am trying to put my alarm only 5 minutes prior to my waking up time! I can't imagine myself doing the same with you! Thank you for sharing!

Well when I have stuff to do everyday of the week, I tend to have a solid morning routine. Pretty much everyday I get up, eat breakfast, drink my green tea, brush my teeth, wash my face, and get going. If I miss parts of this standard routine then I also tend to not feel as rested, especially if I don't get breakfast. On my weeks with lots of stuff I have to do, I might have an activity scheduled in the morning before I go anywhere, like working on some writing or homework.

My morning tends to fall right around the same kind of routine pretty much each and every day. I get up around the same time, to really shake the cobwebs loose as I pull myself right out of bed. I pull myself down right to the bathroom, go the bathroom, splash cold water in my face, use some mouthwash to get that nasty early morning taste right out of my mouth. Then I rather just get something to eat and get on the computer and then from there I am in full swing. I don't know what I would do but my routine tends to really live and die about getting up around the same time each and every day to say the least. I remember there were times where I slept in a little bit and I felt like I was in slow motion because my routine and thus my momentum was completely all off.

Yes this happens to me as well and it feels like having a jet lag! :P If I wake up later than usual then I feel completely disorganised all day. I think this happens because our inside clock changes if we change our routine or our sleeping hours.

I don't have a strict daily routine.. But when there is no class, i usually wake up- change my clothes, wash my face or take a bath and then eat in front of the tv. When there is class, everything is done faster though.. and no tv.

Me too. Prayer and a cup of hot drink first thing in the morning. I rarely oversleep. If I didn't do it, the day will not feel completed, or there must be something going wrong. Once, i went to college without taking my drink, and for the whole day, i keep dozing off, and not feeling like myself. Routine is good sometimes.

I agree, this kind of daily routines help in our stability and confidence. By having a specific way that I do things in the morning makes me feel more like me!

I also have a daily routine. After waking up, brushing my teeth, then ablution, and prayers. After that, I do the housework.

Start my day with morning prayer for thanking God for a new day, taking a shower/bath to freshen up myself, and I'm going to have my breakfast. After my breakfast I will visit myLot take a bit of time to participate to some discussions. And lastly..prepare myself for work. That's my daily routine..

well there is nothing wrong with that. you feel like there is something wrong when you miss something because you are so used to doing the same things for a very long time already. i don't really have a routine in the morning. i am always busy because of work and i always feel bad because i can't get a good sleep. i usually just come to the computer and check on emails and messages from friends

Same thing with me. I always do my daily routine. First thing to do when I wake up, I have to brush my teeth, make coffee and go check my emails.

Me too, everyday for me is the same..except for Sunday 'coz that's may rest day..Every morning I wake up, eat breakfast, go to work, eat lunch, and then get back to work again, go home, eat dinner, then sleep..that's me everyday..I'm so bored!..if I could just have my own business, I can hold my own time..I could choose what to do..I really need to save money so that I could put up my own enterprise..-_-
