It is not really constant- but people who are poor in our country usually don't get married but just live-in, and if they do, they marry very early too, like early 20s. And then they have problems later on...

usually in my country men used to marry in their early 30's and women in their late 20's, but I think in the last 4-5 years the age average went a little lower.

Ideally, females in our country marry at the age of 25-28 while males at 28-30. That's how they say and that is being practiced by most. Though nowadays, people can either be in both extreme cases. In my workplace for example, there are a lot of males who got married at the age of 23-24 while a lot of females who are still single at the age of 29 to 30 up... :)

I actually don't really think that there is a typical age that people will get married in my country. I've had friends that got married as young as first thing when they graduated high school (18 years old) to people that are in their early forties before they get married for the first time. The reason that I think that there is such a variation in what ages people get married is because of the fact that each individual has different goals for their lives.

That's true and it is so called"individual perspective." I think this would be different according to different people. So maybe we just have a common range between that. And this phenomenon ranges almost the same among differnt countries. Thanks for share.

Well here in the US people get married at all ages, but most get married between the ages of 20 and 30. Me and my husband got married at 21 years old.

In my country it depends. Whenever they feel they can take life in their own hands and have the means to start a family. It can be 18 or 28. The important thing is to be able to do that.

Yeah,no matter when, the most important is that we are ready for that.We could thus take the responsibility of the family.lol,it is really sensible.

Well from what I have noticed, most men in our country marry by early 30's and women on their late 20's. In my case, I married at the age of 30. We are about the same age as my wife. There are also those that have children already even at the age of 18 or lower than that in some places of our country. Some are not even married and some are forced to get married simply because of pregnancy.

Hello jricky, I'm from India and given the diverse culture we have, the marriage age also varies quite a bit here. Depending upon the family background, caste and community of people (and if they are rural), a guy might get married anywhere around 21 years (as it is the minimum marriage age fixed by the government). In the metros, people are more career oriented and they marry in their mid or late 20s, or sometimes even around 30-32 years. Girls would get married in their teens in villages, even though its illegal to marry a girl before she is 18 and in cities most of them get married by their mid 20s.

That's really helpful and i think i would apperciate your answer,my friend.May it is the same around every country that there is a kind of person who concentrate on their career but some are not.As i said, this only determined by person themselves.Thank you for sharing.

Hi there jricky1.. Well, here in the Philippines.. Marrying age is 23 for females and 25 for males... But since these few years, lot of teenagers get an unplanned pregnancy... they get married at the age of 16... or at the time a female already had their first menstruation... My grandma got married at the age of 12 years old.. lol, but i do not have that wish to get married at a very young age.. I'm just 19 and I like to enjoy life first by myself and with my loved ones.. I'll just think of marriage when I'm stable and ready to have my own family to take care of. Have a nice day!

It differs from different areas. In countryside, the marrige is about 20 though the marriage law has provided for the age of marrige at 23 and older. In cities, most people woundnt like to marry early.so the age of marrige is about 30 .

I think this may maily because that people in cities suffer big pressure than those in countside. So thus caused the phenomen. For me,i mean personally,i also wouldn't choose marry so early.I know when i would need a stable family.

In our country the minimum age requirement for a person to be married is 18 (for both man and woman). However, our country is a nation with diverse culture. There are tribes that allow their members to get married at an early age or even as early as they want. There are also tribes that allow their members to marry their siblings or their immediate relatives. It depends to what tribe we belong and what tradition we follow. Mostly, we follow the rule of the Catholic Church.

I know some people who marry as early as 16 because one of the people i know got pregnant when she was in high school. usually people marry here by 24 or 25. However, more and more have been marrying at an age earlier than that. It's not really their plan to marry, but they are forced to because they have children already. Some don't marry at all, but already have 3 or more kids

I ma 21 years old and I can say that I am not yet ready for marriage. In my country, those who are poorer usually marry at an early age. They usually marry around 16-18 years old. But for the middle to upper class, they usually get married on their late 20's. There are also some that marry on their 30's since they want to put their career first. For me, I would like to marry at my late 20's too. Like you, I want to have a stable job first so I can support my new family. Getting married is a tough job. Once you're in, you can never go out.
