Being a single parent is really difficult, but everytime i see my child it makes me feel so wonderful.I have all the reason to be happy.Being a single parent can have its up and down moments.honestly.i'd never thought i'd end up being a single mom.it was hard dealing on it on my own...But worrying excessively wont change a thing, its an emotional drain' Stop worrying, move ahead with a positive outlook and for sure some ups and downs will be far more significant than others.

Welcome to the world of single mom.
I, myself is a single mom. I have a son who is about to turn 4 this May.
and it is really not that easy. Specialy if you are working for you to provide everything for your child.
Here is the common problem that I noticed for solo parent working.
1. Who will take care of the child while you're at work,
a. parents
b. nanny
c. current partner
- but non of those can guide your kid exactly the way you want.
2. Is my salary enough to provide everything that my child need
3. Am I giving enough time for my kid?
Most people cannot understand us... some may tell that they will understand us but somehow never failed to criticized us, some even question us in our capability for being a good parent. which I say unfair on our part.
But at the end of the day whenever we see our child... we can always all the hardships is worth it, with just one hug, one kiss and a sweet smile...

As much as possible I don't ask myself the question why? and what?
I rather choose the question how?
How are we gonna live?
How are we gonna spend our week ends? sometimes just for us to have a bonding time and I need to work for an extra income bring my son with me on week ends at the office... just like striking 2 birds with one stone..
I show him how I work, what I do... teaching him about colors by asking him to sort them for me... then let him count the paper clips.
I avoid getting info of her whereabouts so that I will not get affected. I have this philosophy of "What I don't know cannot hurt me... but what I know will forever hunt me". That maybe is the reason why our current situation does not affect our lives.

I agree with you angel. I was once a single mother. I didn't expect it that I became one. I had ups and down too, but I was trying to be strong just for the sake of my child. And luckily, I found a man who really love me and my daughter, a man who accept my daughter like his own.

I can hardly imagine being a single mom, it's very difficult. But I believe in whatever trials that we have, it's our attitude in facing these problems that makes it harder or easier for us. You have a good attitude with raising you child alone and I'm sure you'll raise him/her well. Just keep in mind that there are lots of things to look forward to and enjoy together with your child.

It is very hard to face such a situation . Thing about it and keep worrying doesn't you to get rid your problem. Be constant at what you are make your mind to control your emotions.

I have heard in the tv news that the phil government has a program about the single parent, they are like senior citizen cards that you'll get to have discounts medicine, school supplies, etc. check it out at the City Social Services Department.

Yeah you are correct my friend worrying does not solve the problems. Be strong during the hard times so that you can handle anything in the world for your baby purpose. And god will always support good people.All the best to your life and also welcome to mylot family.
