Craigslist responses are unreal...

I recently have posted an ATV on craigslist. The amount of crap emails received are astounding. I receive emails just stating, "do you still have it?" when my post said I will delete when gone. I choose not to respond to those emails per it is a waste of time, when people can clearly read. If it is still posted, obviously I still have it. Not to mention, the amount of phone calls I receive. I am thinking maybe I should have just posted it in the classifieds of the local newspaper, maybe I would get less false responses. Why do people do this? If you don't have a genuine interest, why even waste your time writing the email? Has anyone else had this problem?
