Hoovering

How early do you hoover in the mornings? Do you think 6.00am is too early to hoover? I have time to start hoovering at that time, my neighbours both sides get up early, my children start getting up at 6.50am. I feel I could get a lot done downstairs in sitting rooms/ dining rooms and kitchen etc before family gets up. What are your views on hoovering early in the mornings?

I have days where I am not getting to bed until 6a. or so. My sleeping comes in cycles. And as far as 'hoovering' I don't vacuum everyday. We usually only vacuum upstairs once or twice a week(only me up here most of the time) and every other day or so downstairs.

I don't sleep that well either, I think I woke up every hour last night, but too tired to get up and do anything postive. I'll get up anytime after 4.45am if I'm having a restless night as anything before that seems far too early. The clock goes off at 5.45am so that time doesn't seem too early ot get up if I'm awake

My daughter gave me some of her prescribed sleeping pills. Not hard core ones or anything. I take one of them when I just can't sleep and need to. Maybe one a week usually. I am glad to get them cause I couldn't afford another prescription. I like staying up late but I hate it when I have something I have to do the next day.

I am usually up by that time - but I really like it quiet for awhile when I first get up! I think if that time works for you and your neighbors don't mind why not? Here the law is that "peace" or quiet has to be maintained from 10 pm to 7 or 8 am -- not sure which one. In between that time the police can be called and a person can recieve a citation for "disturbing the peace!" But personally it would not bother me - especially if I knew you and you told me your schedule!

Thank you, I know it won't bother my neighbours, just asking as it does seem really early to start hoovering and the only people to moan would be the children but they do start waking pu about 6.30am. don't think we have any noise laws

I am an early riser too Anne. Even if i am on vacation for 2 months, i still always wake-up at 5:30. Instead of fretting to be able to sleep again, i would prop up and pray and start getting breakfast ready since my husband will be going to work. Well, i am happy that way, because i am able to do a lot of things, before the rest of the household wakens up.

Its good ot try and get some jobs done before the children get up while it is quite. I make lunches if I haven't made them the night before, peel veggies for tea , do ironing, excercise on wiifit and now hoovering

In some areas there is actually a rule/law that you can not having any 'noise pollution' between the hours of 11pm and 7am. That is how it is in my area anyway, nothing that causes a loud noise like a lawnmower, chainsaw...etc. between 11pm and 7am.

Don't think that works round here, I know my neighbours wouldn't have a problem as they get up early, children would moan, but it would just give them something different to moan about!! I wouldn't go out and mow my lawn at that time of the morning Thank you so much for answering

I used to be the same but I don't think the children would moan that much espically as they would get ot eat breakkie in the family room instead of the dining room

If it would not bother the neighbors, I would certainly do it. I dislike doing it, so when the urge hits, I have to go ahead and get it done.

It doesn't matter if I am up early, I don't like hearing such racket early in the morning. Often, I am up and moving early, but I am not necessarily really awake--and definitely not in the mood to hear vacuuming, loud music or any other racket. I think that late morning to mid-afternoon are the best times to vacuum--unless you have a neighbor who works night shift. People tend to be awake by that time--truly awake, not just shuffling about in search of coffee--and those who have outside jobs tend to be gone by that point.

If hoovering early in the morning is your thing I say go for it. I tend to do it the morning or at night just depends on the type of mood I am in.

Too early. In the apartment-complex, quiet hours are from 10 p.m. to 7 a.m. (except on Friday & Saturday, when the hours are Saturday & Sunday 12 a.m. to 7 a.m.) Every minute of extra rest your children get is an extra minute-or-so of work they can do for the world! I'm sure there's quiet work you can do before you break out the noise-maker!

Sorry you have a noise curfew, lucky for me there is none

I live in a detached house, so I don't really have to worry about the vacuum disturbing neighbors. If you live in an apartment or another attached home, then I do think 6 AM is too early. If you have close neighbors, I think an acceptable time to vacuum is between 9 AM and 6 PM.

Hey there :) Hoovering is not a thing i`m keen on doing. My hoovering time is too random. If I get enough time to sleep it would be 14:00-24:00, but since I work whole day, I think Don`t hoover enough lately. I wouldn`t like to have a neighbour that`s hoovering at time like yours, atleast not if the isn`t too loud to disturb the sleepers :)

I don't know what hoover means but based on the reply in the discussions it was a daily household chores, right? 6:00 am for me is a little too late for me to do some errands, especially now that I have routine of brisk walking in the morning. So I get up 4:50 in the morning to get ready for my walking then 5:00 am will start the walking until 6:00 am, then some things to do like preparing breakfast and cleaning. But if you are not that busy person like me 6:00 am is fine. I guess it depends on person's lifestyle.

Yes a hoover is a machine to clean the carpets and floors, they can be very nosiy sometimes and if its quite they can seem even more louder. Keep up with the walking. Sadly I can't go walking outside that time of the morning because of the children in bed, but I do excercise on the wiifit plus which plugs into the telly.
