I am reading one of his books right now, and I have seen some of his sermons on the tv. I have to say I have never ever been so moved by one man like he has moved me. I love the idea of life and God just being one big celebration. It makes things seem so much happier and it makes my heart feel better I have to say. Has anyone read any of his books? Which ones, because when I am done with the one I am reading I am hoping to go on the next..lol.. How do you feel about him? I know some people do have a negative view of him please do not say really mean things, I am all about expressing your opinoion but please remember this is someone that is a soldier for the Lord wether you agree with the way he does it or not.. Thank you

I like Joel Osteen. The way he delivers God's word truly has an impact on me and to a lot of people too. I haven't read his books yet but i have watched his sermons online. I hope that all pastors would be like him to encourage more people. He truly has the gift and he is using his talent for God's glory. However, we have to be very careful because we might be focusing too much on him and not to the word of God.

I agree with you he is so inspirational. And to me it makes God's word just that much louder and understandable when he says it. It feels my heart with joy to read his books, and listen to him

I've never read any of his books, but I used to watch him on television all the time about 10 years ago. Between then and now I've seen some of his sermons off and on. I really don't watch much television these days. Anyway, I recently watched one of his sermons on Youtube. I came across it while watching videos that were talking about having courage, and I decided to watch the video of him. Like always, it was very inspiring. He definitely is an inspirational man. Maybe someday I'll start reading his books. I'm glad to hear that you feel that he moves you and makes your heart feel better. That's a very good thing these days, because there are so many unhappy and negative people in this world today.

I think he is great. I think I was supposed to find him, if that makes sense. I was sitting on my couch wasn't really a church goer, Bible reader or a prayer sayer. But I beleived in God. But I'm sitting there and Oprah's Next Chapter came on and he was on it. Now mind you this is the first episode of ANY oprah show I have ever watched, but something compelled me to watch it, and I did. I think he's amazing.

I read Daily Readings: Become a Better You as recommended by a family member. I have seen Joel Osteen on television but I am more of a Joyce Meyer fan. I don't think Joel's soft-spoken way reaches me the Joyce Meyer's tell-it-like-it-is attitude does. I tape her show every day but I have to admit I am about 2 weeks behind in watching the shows. I have read a few of her books and have purchased one DVD set, one CD set, and they sent me a CD set for free in response to one of my emails. I alo get her magazine. The way she explains the bible in relation to her own life experiences is what works so well for me. And to hear her tell a story and then hear the exact same story at church that same day means a lot to me. That means that message is something I really need to hear.

oh wow.. that makes me laugh because here recently I have been going back in forth over joyce meyer and joel osteen. and I have to be honest I am not as big a Joyce Meyer fan as I wish I was. I read one of her books too, and I watched her on TV a little. My problem was she made it just seem so HARD to get God's love, and there is something she has said about forgiveness that just doesn't sit right with me. But she is good, and her life was rough and I know she should be easy to relate with for me because I was emotionally abused growing up but it's just not. Thank you very much for the book idea. And for the response. I am very greatful. God bless you

I've never read any of his books, but I usually watch his sermons on television. I sometimes wonder how Biblically knowledgeable he is, but he understands that as Christians we are blessed and should be the most joyous people on earth. I think the fact that we're blessed and should be using those blessings to improve our lives is what he's trying to get through to those who listen to him.

I think is so true. I love how he wants us to EXSPECT GREATNESS...I think this is something that everyone needs to do, and not be down in the dumps with a poor me attitude.

I absolutely love Joel Osteen. My husband watch him all the time and I have read a couple of his books. He is amazing. He has lifted me up many times when I was so down. I have nothing but good to say about him.

I think he is very inspirational. Watching him isn't exactly my cup of tea, but I totally understand the appeal. He was on a TV show I work on and the positive response we got to having him as a guest on the show was enormous. He is very inspirational to a lot of people and he is a very kind, generous man from what I can tell.

I agree with you. He always has struck me as being a humble, kind, and generous person. People like that in general are hard to come across these days.
