My husband and I have 3 wonderful sons ages 3,5,& 8. We just bought our first home and we are staying at my mom's house while some repairs are being made. I found out I was pregnant with baby #4 at the beginning of April. It was definitely a BIG surprise! The timing is terrible! We just bought a house and we got rid of everything we had for a baby. I keep thinking about something my dad says a lot though; "God always pays for what He orders."
Am I scared? Yes. Am I unprepared? Yes. It is strange though... At the same time I am happy and excited!I had my first ultrasound yesterday and heard my baby's heartbeat! It was a beautiful experience!
There are some other issues. I am having some neurological issues that puts my pregnancy at high risk. They do not know what these issues are but I am having TONS of testing done. I hate it! I just want to feel normal again! Currently they are trying to rule out MS and Epilepsy.I am praying that whatever it is, they find it quickly and it is not anything serious!

I think it's a blessing that you are pregnant with baby #4. I agree with what your dad says, God will not burden you with anything that you cannot handle. There is always a solution with every test that you are faced with. All the best for you.
And welcome to myLot, by the way...

Although they are all now teenagers, I have 4 sons myself. So I understand that things could be tough at times, especially when they are only young kids. Still, I feel that they really are a blessing and, from the first born to the baby, each one of them really is most precious to us, their proud and blessed parents.

I know exactly what you mean! They are each so different and unique too. People say all the time you should not play favorites as a parent. I don't see how any parent could. However, I do have favorites for a day or a moment depending on behavior sometimes! Ü

Congrats! I think while a baby is always exciting, it's important to stay away from stress! That probably seems next to impossible, but that's some of the best advice, in my opinion. Stress is probably not going to be good for a baby. It's never good on our bodies, so I can only imagine what it would do for a baby. Since I don't have kids yet, I don't really know what all is involved, but I know everything will work out for you. I'd rather see a concerned mom-to-be than someone who can't abort the unborn child fast enough. Even though your fourth baby was a surprise, it'll be a blessing too. You'll probably think in a couple years, "I can't imagine my life without him/her!" Just wait...lol!

I agree with you, and I think one thing you said is key, to take things one day at a time! Don't borrow the drama from yesterday or the anxiety of tomorrow because it's not worth it. More than half the stuff we worry about never materializes anyway!
A month or so ago, my sister (who is also expecting ) texted me to ask me about something - involving drama, of course! - and I told her to stop worrying about it! It didn't really concern her anyway, but I told her to stop borrowing trouble because she's pregnant and needs to focus on herself and the pregnancy. It's not her job to worry about all that stuff right now anyway. Her job now that she's an expected mother is to have as healthy a baby as she can.
Easier said than done because I don't have kids yet, but stress is never a good thing! So this advice goes for you too!!

That is good news that you are pregnant with baby number 4! Just be very extra careful... don't allow yourself to be stressed.
God bless!
