Has anyone here gone to Sonic before, some of my friends have been talking about them and their faves from there, but I have never been there before and there are none closeby. If you have been there, which drinks are your favorites and what do they taste like? Are they worth the money?

I absolutely love Sonic. They have this drink called a Cherry Limeade. It is quite fruity and delicious. I hear their Peach Tea is good as well. I like how you have the option to walk up, drive up, or have them bring your food to your car. This is one of my favorite fast food places. Give it a try and enjoy.

I have heard so many wonderful things about that Cherry Limeade, it is also one of my friend's favorites too. She put it on her status once or twice on FB how she loves it. They seem like they have alot of options, I would love them to bring food to my car, I think. I will try it once I can find one around somewhere closeby.

We usually go to SOnic after getting groceries once a month. My daughter and I like the Cranberry and Cherry Limeades. They are thirst quenching after shopping and will be in the heat as well. I like the coffee lattes shake type thing they have too. I don't get that very often though.

Just not good to have the caffiene so late in the day. I am already up all night.

Good idea, celticeagle--once a month won't harm you, it's a fun suggestion to go there with your daughter after getting groceries and gives you both something to do together. I would try the cranberry and cherry limeades. Are the coffee lattes shakes too expensive or is it the calories? Yes as stowyk said, happy hour seems to be very popular!

We don't have a local Sonic, the nearest one is over 100 miles from home. One of the trips north to Stanford I want to stop and get a Sonic drink. They sound so good! It's like Dairy Queen. We would stop at one while we were in route to Stanford so we could have a blizzard. Unfortunately that DQ closed down about 5 months ago and we can't stop there anymore either. The closest one is about 30 miles off our route to get to the hospital at Stanford.
It will be interesting to hear other MyLotters opinions about Sonic's drinks!!

Wow over 100 miles, thats not good. I have to be able to drive a short distance for most of my favorite things. I like Dairy Queen as well, used to go there as a child and I miss it alot. Yes, I find it interesting too about Sonic drinks, then I might know what to get the next time I go to one.

Yummy, the hamburgers being so big and yummy. I bet they taste great too. I used to love tater tots as a kid, but haven't had those in ages! I remember eating TV dinners with them in it, LOL. Oh my peanut butter milkshake, it sounds so divine, you are all making me crave them all! Teehee. I would love to have something that close in walking distance to my house.

There is one near me but I think it's overpriced compared to other fast food restaurants. You really don't get alot for your money. That said, go during happy hour. Drinks are half off except for their blasts (think the McDonalds McFlurry only in a wider cup) and shakes. They do have an excellent selection of milkshakes if you like those.

I see, well if it is over priced then no use in going to it. The prices might be different in various states. I will try to go during happy hour. Thanks for the tip on that! I do like milkshakes but don't wanna drink them too often, it's fattening. Sigh.

I live just up the street from a Sonic. I have to say I've never had their cream drinks, but their limeades are yummy - they squeeze in the lime juice from 2 or 3 limes and then put Sprite in it (or diet Sprite in our case). The roomie was getting their lime slushy last summer, full sugar but with ice beads in it - otherwise much like the limeades.

I was just there today! I didn't get one of their drinks, but in reading the menu, they have some pretty awesome sounding drinks! Their shakes are half price after 8pm so I think that this summer I will be going up there in the evenings. It isn't exactly far from me, but not all that close either. I didn't care much for chicken sandwich, no big deal. But those drinks..they did sound great. I'll also have to start watching for Sonic coupons...

I just went there for lunch, twice this week! I got a slushie, cranberry-raspberry-orange-cherry-lemon to be exact. From their base slushie drinks you can pay 30 cents for whatever flavor you want. They have the best milkshake/malts too! You don't have a lot of choices like at steak and shake but they taste better. They have pineapple, vanilla, chocolate, strawberry. fresh banana and hot fudge. All come topped with pipe-bag whipped cream which is thicker than at steak and shake. They can also add malt for a little more money, which if you have had malted milk balls, its that little tang or sour flavor. It's really good with the banana.
