What do you do when you have overcharged a laptop for hours? I know it shouldn't be that way but for the third or fourth time this month I slept on it.
I don't have those 80% auto-shut off for charging and I don't know if there are software for that. Can you tell me more? Let me know how do you do it with your laptops and netbooks. Thanks :)
Happy mylotting, everyone ^_^-)

you meant battery charge? I don't see if there is any problem if you charge your laptop or netbook to the full, and it will be a over - charge as you called it. I don't have this kind of problem though. I know that when it is full, it shouldn't be over - charge anymore on my laptop, so, you got nothing to worry about it.

Well, I can only mentioning me on my personal case. You must know that I, even I have a netbook, I leave 24/24 hours attached the power socket. Although it is a laptop, I will I use it as a desk-pc, to all effects.
After one year, no problem. You really believe that if the machine is overcharged, could be damaged? In my opinion I say no. Always better to contact to experts.

If you have a pretty decent netbook, you shouldn't have to worry about overcharging it. I leave mine plugged in, while I use it. I haven't had any problems, and I've had one for four years. I unplug it at night, when I'm not using it. Most notebooks have a battery icon indicator, you could watch that, and when it is fully charged, you can unplug, then when it is about to die or has low battery health, you can plug it back in.

I never let my netbook overcharged because that may ruin the whole system. As of your part, you shouldn't be doing that again if you don't wanna be sorry in the end.
