Making Money Watching TV

You know a lot of the time you can hear scams claim that you can make money watching TV or something like that that you do daily. I never really paid much attention to these things myself but I had recently come across one thing that claimed you could make money (well get gift cards) by watching TV. I still didn't think much of it but I did get the app that you use for it and then started checking in with the TV shows as you are suppose to, not holding out much hope for it to actually be legit. However, they one day updated their rewards section to have hot topic gift cards which I had just enough points to get. I am a major hot topic shopper, I probably spend about $100 there online every month at least just on their clearance section, so a gift card got me excited! I went through the process and clicked on redeem not really expecting to get the electronic gift card as it promised, after all all I had been doing was watching tv! I clicked redeem and less then a minute later my phone was going off telling me I had a new email, that just happened to have the code for my gift card in it! I made a purchase later that day with the gift card paying for the shipping. You know I've always followed the basic rule of 'if its too good to be true, its probably a scam' but I'm starting to rethink that just a bit. I know of a lot of red flags that can come up when a site is a scam, but being the too good to be true isn't going to be a red flag necessarily. Of course my thoughts on that may mainly be reserved for ways to on my iPad because it seems that is the easiest way to earn lately, and falls in the too good to be true section. Either way, doing reviews on sites you use on an iPad or other mobile device is becoming really fun. I don't know if my review about making money on tv will be taken lightly or excitedly, but if it helps people make a bit more money for just sitting and watching tv then I'm really happy for them. I just wonder if more apps like this will come out, if they do I can't wait to do reviews on them too!
