Hello there SIMPLYD nice to meet you Bluedoll here, guess you know that already though.
Oh wow, I think I can answer that question. I must be getting smart or something? I am so impressing myself! Ok, I think this is the reason but could be wrong ok. I’ve noticed that when something happens in the community that is common this deletions happen.
Say for example, like you saw one day in the news, “volcano empties over mylot making everything steaming hot” people will naturally feel an urge to start discussions on that event. The only problem is, 2 billion people start the same discussion and the main chief computer gets upset. It shoots out this message “now stop that because all this same stuff is tickling me”.
The idea I think is if you are unsure is to do a search and if you see a similar topic started then put thoughts in there instead making a new one, otherwise the main page will be plastered with the same discussion about the same thing.
At least that is what I think the reason is. Anyway, deletions do happen from time to time and we all need to learn how to go with the guidelines but hey don’t worry too much about it, no one is perfect and stuff does happen.

It is not all the fault of the user who starts a topic that others have already started.
If we ALL took notice and did not respond, except to tell the user that theur discussion is a repeated topic, then maybe there would be fewer deltions.
It seems to me that there are too many Lotters just posting on 'easy' topics, only to lose their responses (and efforts and earnings) later on. I saw some who were responding on every single one of those topics about the runtime error

fellow my lotters I could s ee a lot of people made the same
discussion so no.one I did not respond to any of them but the first one, and number two I did not make another discussion on the same topic, why would I? surely someone has read the g uidelines here? or
well maybe not? oh ka y.

This is not a correct thing to say as far as accuracy is concerned but I think of this imaginary non – true explanation so I am more at ease with deleted discussions.
Deletions are random. It is machine that deletes discussions because it is having a bad hair day.
I need to think this way so I don’t take deletions personal. I do see some discussions gone that I thought were actually quite good though perhaps the rules were being bent a little while other discussion stay because it found a loophole and it met some kind of standard. It all seems a little unfair but in the end all anyone can do is just go on.

There were TOOOO MANY discussions saying EXACTLT the same thing and they were all removed. Only the first one is still available and you, and all of those who started similar ones, could have gone and particpated there instead of starting a new one.

I think that the ones that are still up (from yesterday at least) are not just talking about the runtime error but that there is actually something else to discuss in the topic.

Mine should have been there because I had thanked run time...... It is not the same as complaining.

You know what Jaiho, as i saw the notification of my deletion, i also saw the notification that you started a discussion. And when i opened your discussion, i was told that it was also deleted.
Then, i saw a lot of the same discussions after that, and i just smiled because i know that they too will be deleted.
Well, at least we were able to air our sadness over that.

Well, you're not the only person to complain on the topic of various discussions deleted. The fundamental reason for which Mylot usually eliminates some of our threads, is that they do not all conform to the guidelines of the site. Although sometimes it might seem perhaps a little exaggeration, we have the responsibility to adhere strictly to the rules and maybe read the FAQs more carefully.

Strictly speaking "Issue already resolved" is not something covered by the Guidelines or the Terms, so (in my humble opinion) was inaccurate. I think that the reason should have been given as "Duplicate topic".
In a sense, "Individual issue" might also have been a valid reason for deletion, although the issue was a general one which affected everybody. Sometimes it's necessary to interpret each point in the Guidelines somewhat widely because, after all, they are 'Guidelines' and not specific 'rules'.
If you get an error on any particular website, by the way, its relatively easy to check whether it's an issue with your connection or whether the server really is down. If it says 'Server error', then it almost certainly is down for everyone but you can double check with the easy-to remember site isup.me http://www.isup.me/
If that site can't access the site in question, then it really is down.

Like owlwings said, it's not a violation if an e-mail tells you that your discussion was deleted. There are times when MyLot goes down, and there's nothing we can do about it until admins untangle the server out of its problems.

Simplyd:
I do not remember to have answered this discussion.
Discussions deleted for the following reasons:
1) repetition of same idea more or less in the same manner.
2) yes. if it is relating to glitches in the website -- these are deleted because there is no end to it. glitches are attended to and sorted out by the mylot team subsequently and the posting has not much of relevance.

I can understand the bad feeling you have -- but by now you must have got used to occasional deletions. We all learn from experience.

because umpty nine people made the same type discussion about not connecting to mylot so you made a duplicate and the notification you get should tell you the rule you broke, go do go and read the
guidelines as it tells the do nots, why on earth if you have 79 79 points now you have never read the guidelines in that they tell us what we cannot do in discussion? surely if you knew then you would not make one that breaks a do not? You surely do not want to get a discussion deleted? or do you?

It was actually Hatley , not my intention to start a discussion that day.
However, i was wondering if others felt the same experience of not being able to go to Mylot because of that run time error, hence i started that.
But in about a little more than 2 hours or more , as i was replying to a respondent on that, it was suddenly deleted and i was notified so. But the reason, i came to know about it on my email.
I was surprised and sorry for those who responded though. But as for me, it's okay because at least i get to know , it wasn't after all not only me who experienced it.
But i am glad Mylot is okay now.

That deleted discussion didn't deter me from further participating here. I love it here, even if i am not able to reach the cash out monthly anymore.
I guess, we all commit mistakes sometimes, so i just apologized to all who responded to that.

Hi Simplyd. I wonder if this will be deleted also. Maybe not. I had some serious issues one night with mylot, but I didn't realize it had been discussed, cause sometimes I'm here for a day and gone a week or even two or three weeks at times. So I miss a whole lot of discussions here.
I hope this one works out for ya! Good chattin'.

Hey simplyd. That's is very sweet of you to do a discussion apologizing to everyone. I can see today that your discussion was okay after all. I'm glad. Cause you have very good intentions. Good for you. I wasn't on mylot on the day you had the discussion that was deleted apparently, so I was okay anyway. Later.

I think this particular discussion isn't a violation, chrystal.
It's meant to appease and apologize for those who responded yesterday to that discussion.
Anyway, even if that discussion was deleted, it didn't affect me in any way. I was able to confirm such run time error, by discussing it.
I am sorry though for those who might have lost an earning because of that.

Actually, i wasn't sad about it for myself, but for the respondents, who lost their earnings on my discussion.
At any rate, from now on, i would be careful not to tackle similar discussions.

Yes, that's true. Sometimes, we start a discussion, out of how we feel that very moment.
This site has become an outlet of feelings, and that's what's nice about it.
