of all the festivals u have experienced, whether local or abroad, what is the best and you enjoyed the most? what's rich in culture and entertainment? what's best on most aspects including the people? I have only been to local festivities here in my country but I guess I like the PAHIYAS Festival. It's nice seeing houses with decor of different rice kiping. The small town itself is very very nice. The Penagbenga in Baguio City is delightful as well, the parade of flowers and the view of the town is very appealing. And yours?

Though not a bengali, I love the DURGA POOJA ,it,s a 9 day celebration ,huge pandals mushroom at every nook and corner with their huge Durga idols , unravelling our artists creative genius.Families bond together ,young and old, there is much gaiety. It appeares as if the Mother has gathered her children in her arms to bless them.

I'm from a small town in PA
we have all sorts of festivals here
but I think my favorite is the festival at the local Greek Orthodox Church
it's a fund raising event that the whole town gets involved with
it's not a little thing, usually lasts two or three days (and nights)
everyone wears the authentic Greek clothing, they're are Greek dancers, all the foods are authentic Greek and Greek music is played on real Greek instruments.
it's really a big thing
I just love it!
the sounds and smells and the sights!
