What websites are you writing for?

The websites I have been using for writing have all changed. Some of them more drastic than others. I haven't written anything for quite a while and I was wondering if I should look for new websites to write for. I wasn't on Associated Content/Yahoo Voices for a year and now I can't get my work "published" for upfront pay. Some of that is my fault, but I was wondering where else to look for writing sites.

Interesting. I joined Associated Content last July and was able to get some upfront payments for some of my articles. Others were denied upfront payment but I was still allowed to publish them. Things were going to begin changing in October. I no longer could get upfront payment fir any articles but was still allowed to publish. In December, Associated Content officially changed its name to Yahoo Voices. My situation worsened. Since then, all my submissions have been denied upfront payment plus I am also having trouble getting my articles published. I have only been able to get three articles published since December. Others have been denied. Reasons given to me by the editors often do not make sense. The reasons are sometimes not accurate and there is no way to respond back. I would like to continue writing for Yahoo Voices but I am very discouraged. I write and publish for Triond which is very easy to do but earnings are pathetic. I also write for Helium some. I like Helium but find it difficult to write to a title.

I want to add that Spike The Lobster, a mylotter, who has been very helpful to many of us over the years has begun his own writing site. It is called halfhog and looks to be promising. Spike was one of the mylotters who was very helpful to me as well as encouraging as I began my online writing career.

I write for helium too. It has changed so so much. It's getting to the point that we write for free just so the website provider can make all the money. I don't think it would kill them to share the profits...

I am relatively new to helium. And even then, it took me a while to get used to the site. I almost gave up on it. Most of my earnings have come from the $3 rating bonus. My articles have only earned me 85 cents or so. I just got my second writing star. I am on many different types of sites. I have noticed that most of them have become stingier since the end of the year or beginning of New Year. Other mylotters seem to agree about different sites that they are on.

Hi Mommaj, start writing now, and stop being so lazy. Even if you cannot get upfront payment for published content anymore, you can still get the page views payment. Are you at Clout 10 or have they demoted you to Clout -10? No excuse for you this time. Faster write, and do not stop until you have finished 3000 articles. Then you can take a sip of water, and write another 3000 articles. Canellita and Arts also disappear. I wonder if you have kidnapped both of them, and keep them in your cave! Faster release them, and release all the ghosts. No more writing ghosts for you, since you have broken all their fingers, and they cannot write anymore.

Hi Mommaj, faster write! Do not need to "hope" to start writing! Hope cannot put food on the table oh, only money can. Just write some nonsense, and ask the ghosts to bring all their ghosts to read the articles. You can reach Clout 99 soon! If Mother's Day articles bring in page views bonus, then Ghost's Day articles will make the server crashes with all the page views from human and ghosts.

What I would like to know is how can I get page views on the new articles. I am getting plenty on the older ones. I guess because they come up in searches? I don't know. I better get some ghosts to read the new ones for pv.

I write for Ciao and Dooyoo, both of which you need a UK bank account for to receive the payment. I have tried writing for sites such as Triond, but it doesn't quite work for me for some unknown reason.

I'm not sure Triond works for anyone. The other two websites I would not be able to write for because I don't have a UK bank account. Great information though.

You can check the blog freelancehomewriter.blogspot.com. There are a ton of good sites there mentioned.

This is not my referral link. It's not even my website. This is a site written by another person that I've gone to find really good information about places to write that offer upfront pay for writers. I thought I would share it with people who would be interested in knowing. It's got a lot of good information there.

Hi cavewoman, you have not been around for ages! I heard that you are a permanent resident in hell, and terrifying all those ghosts, until they have to expel you back to earth. Faster write something. Here we do not use hell money, and you have to write to earn something to eat. You cannot even kidnap a few ghosts to cook for dinner.

So glad to hear from you again. I have been trying to haunt you, but I couldn't find you. I am trying to get the ghosts to write, but they sit and play puzzles all day. I am not making much money so I cannot even buy dinner. Last month I actually made $26 in pageviews from Yahoo Voices. That's the first time in a long time. The reason that is so good is I haven't written anything for months. Cave is looking good though. Have plenty of free time to sweep the dirt floors.

Dear mommaj, I just returned from a trip to Cambodia. It is terribly hot. I think those ghosts are heating up the place, and not helping you to write more articles. Better sit down and start writing. You have been hibernating for such a long time, never even visit us here! What for spend all your time sweeping the cave? You can use a vacuum cleaner!

I logged in to AC the other day and there was all my stuff. Then I had to re-register and gone was all my stuff. I didn't have time to sort it all out, my stuff is still on the site, but it doesn't show up in my profile. What a drag. They still send me emails when they want certain content, but it is always politics and stuff I am not interested in. You know how things are at Helium these days...

Hi Canellita, welcome back! Where have you gone? Have Mommaj gave you the wrong direction, and sent you a trip to hell? Better spank Mommaj! Whenever someone wants to go to another part of the country, Mommaj always books the airticket to hell. She even books the hotel room in the 16th level of hell. In the end, those people always have difficulty getting a flight back.

Oh my! Mommaj does not know what is Helium? Sit down, sit down, let me teach you. Please pay attention, and listen carefully. Helium is the gas that you pump into those big balloons that carry people up into the sky. You can also pump Helium into your stomach, and let the gas brings you to the sky. You can save on air ticket in this way.

Helium? What's that? (Just kidding.)... I honestly haven't been on there for a long time. So your stuff on ac must still be there. Hopefully, you are still getting page views from it.

Hello, Yahoo Voices has become frustrating. I have been writing for Helium for years. Helium is a great website. I hope you are having a wonderful weekend!

I'm glad to hear that I am not the only one thinking it is frustrating. I was writing on there for awhile before it was sold. I am a little disappointed in the changes that have been made.

Well, I do not like you sophisticated texts. My articles, or rather my discussions and comments, I only do them, right now on two sites, which are my favorites. One of these is Mylot. the other is an Italian site that works in much the same way and called CIAO.IT. Perhaps there would be opportunities to earn more than subscribing to other sites, but when I, for now I'll settle for just these two.

It's good you have found a couple of sites you like. I hope for your sake they stay close to the same as they are now for you to make money on. All the sites I liked have become nothingness....
