Borussia Dortmund beat Bayern Munich 5-2 to win the German Cup yesterday. This was their fifth straight win over Bavarian giants. With this win, for the first time they do the double of German Cup and Bundesliga. Is this a change of guard at the top of German football with Borussia taking over from Bayern? What are your views on this? Cheers! Ram

I think their natural progression has been the Bundesliga title last season. This season they have gone for both Bundesliga title and German Cup. So next year, definitely Champions League would be on the menu. Cheers! Ram

Yes. Hopefully they would be more attacking in the Champions League. Last year they were too defensive and paid the penalty for that. Cheers! Ram

Borussia Dortmund - The German Champion - Borussia Dortmund has won again the German Bundesliga. Bravo!
I am happy for Borussia Dortmund. It is not easy to deny the great Bayern Munich for two seasons in a row - it is a fantastic achievement. But as always, it is expected that some of their best players will likely be leaving for 'bigger' clubs in the summer. They will need to get good replacements to go for a hat-trick of titles for next season.

Yes, last year they managed to retain their players. But this year I think it would be more difficult for them to retain their marquee players. Cheers! Ram

Yes, I agree Bayern would come harder next season. Actually this season they were doing pretty well till the half way mark and then suddenly lost momentum and dropped points. Cheers! Ram

My jaw will drop if they could retain the title for the 3rd year next season. Shinji Kagawa, one of their main players, is sure to leave. There may be others too. Bayern Munich, after 2 seasons of playing second fiddle, will do more than what they did in their last 2 seasons combined to get back the crown. So, it is indeed a very daunting task for Dortmund. They don't seem to have the funds to recruit more established players to strengthen their squad too.

Yes, the reputation of Jeurgen Klopp is increasing. Last year everyone thought it was a flash in the pan. By repeating it this year he has proved that it was a well planned and deserved wins. Cheers! Ram

They have had a fantastic season and to beat Bayern Munich in the Cup Final is the crowning moment for their season.

Yes, it was also a compressive victory at that. I think they are now making an habit of this as this was their 5th straight victory over Bayern. Cheers! Ram

This is definitely Borussia Dortmund moment. If they can keep their players and at the same time improve on the squad, they will be there and about. Of course Bayern Munich will want to have a say in that.

I was hoping Bayern Munich to seize the title before their much anticipated match against Chelsea in the Champions League final but sadly they were unable to do so even with much firepower in their flanks. They even lost convincingly.

I think this will fire them up a bit more if that was required. I think the fight in the Bayern team would be much greater next weekend against Chelsea. But let's wait and watch. Cheers! Ram
