Where do you meet most of your friends?

I have a few friends at work... but I pretty much just talk to them at work... although a few of them are friends with me on facebook as well.
I don't really have a whole lot of friends; however, most of the friends I do have are from a clubhouse I visit sometimes for the mentally ill. (I am schizophrenic & bipolar & have OCD). And then I have some email pals and snail mail pals from around the world.
And when I'm in school, I don't really talk to the other students toooo much.
So how do you meet most of your friends? And do you keep the same friends for long periods of time, or do you often lose friends & meet new ones? Just curious...

hi,
I am very talkative person right from my childhood. So i do not have to worry about the friends. I can gather as many friends i want wherever i go. I had friends of all the ages. I get mixed up with all. Only my wife is very less talkative so she do not have more friends. But whoever comes in touch she welcomes them nicely.

Mostly I meet my friends in some gatherings like a party and some place where my friends invited me.I mostly meet friends from a friend introduced to me.Its like friends of friends. I I don't have many friends during my school days too and now we've separated ways.So most friends I have now were met through one friend to another.
I can I can keep friends for a long period and some may go but not too long but we still friends after all, seldom I lost friends because I treasure most of them.

I meet friends in the coffee shop only. Currently i don't have many friends also, so that i am willing to make more friends. Losing and make a new friend is normal i think, it is a life and i feel ok with it, as long as i have nice time with friends...

I have friends most of whom were my classmates in high school and college. Some of them have shifted to distant cities and settled there.Others are here, although we work for different companies. So we don't have the chance to meet each other at the work place. That's why we meet at the square of our town that's just a stone's throw away from my house. We gather there in the evening and live with each other for nearly an hour and then back to our houses.I have some other friends as well who were not my classmates. They seldom meet me,because they live at the outskirts of our town, miles away from each other.

The vast majority of my friends are really leftovers right my days at school to be honest with. Its just if I have gotten along with someone that long, without them annoying me too much, then really they should be considered to be friends. Beyond the friends, there are many other people that I really get along with well enough with. But to consider them friends, I do not really push it.
Of course, there are a few people from around the neighborhood area that are nice enough to have a cordial chat. But then again, I don't really throw the word "friend" around too loosely, because be too loose with the word "friend" and it is unfair to the friends that you do in fact have. Still friendships are built over years and if they are weathering the storm, that is a good feeling.

Friends are here, there and everywhere, you could have them or you could evade them. Some are maybe for keeps and some just passing through, some are real and some are for convenience. It is just a matter of opening up or putting a wall, and the good thing is you can make a choice which one to have.

i only consider few friends that can be called constant. but i have also just a civil friends.. most of them meet during my high school days, college days and at work.
I don't normally rely with my friends but them rely on me. I am more ok that way than connecting them most of the time. Im a loner person but then i welcome them in my life anytime.

I meet most of my friends from school, workplace, and bars. Most of my long time friends I have met when I was still studying. They are the ones who have known me for quite a while now and still get in touch through reunions and some gatherings. Most of my workmates have also become my friends because I get to see them on a daily basis. Whenever my friends and I go out and have drinks at some bars and restaurants, we were introduced to other sets of friends, and then eventually we all became friends too.

You still have snail mail pals nowadays??! Oh my Gosh! That's so awesome! I've always wanted to have a pen pal since I was little but I really didn't get to have one. That's totally cool!!
I've met my friends from my school and from the competitions I joined in high school, although we're not that in touch anymore, they're one of my valuable friends. I don't have friends or buddies in the neighborhood anymore because most of them had moved out of the city, and live somewhere else. I don't usually go outside anyway and their friends from my childhood but we're not that close so it's not such a loss to me. I'm practically a homebody too, so my friends are from school. I have friends from other countries too, I've met them online. They're one of my closest too. :D I value them as much as I do with my friends that I've known personally and not through technology. I wish I could have pen pals too...it's actually one of my childhood dreams.

I met most of my friends in school and here in our neighborhood.
Also, I have a few good friends I met online through facebook fanpages.
As much as possible I want to be friends with them forever but there are times where some can't help but let others go because of some misunderstanding and such.
But I'm that kind who would always keep in touch. :D

As I am student, I meet most of my friends in the classroom, dinning room and library.
I think my world is very small, I can not think out other place to meet my friends. And for I can not sure that places like KTV or parks are save enough, so I dare not ask my friends to wait me there. But several times, I may meet my friends in the shop, buying things together.

Well, dear friend, you and me, we are on the same "street". I tell you this because I too am a patient of the mental health and, like you have the OCD disorders. Talking, just to answer your question, I can say that my closest friends, are just three! One I see him when he invites me to his house, and I must say that he does it very often. Another often leads me to go on trips with him. The last but not hardly ever see him, because he works and is also engaged.

i usually meet my friends in school.. i feel so good everytime i came in to school with a lot of ''hellos'' accompanied with smiles and a short conversation.. yes, that happens to me everyday in school not just every morning but in everytime i pass along the corridor, the school gate or even when i am in the library, gym, canteen, etc. In addition, I love to meet my friends inside the mall since it's just a few steps from our school.. it's good to have a conversation there because you would feel that it's not boring and it's not humid there and of course there's so much food to share with my friends ;))

I have a lot of friends in my life and i had met most of them from school. I was a good memorable experience with them. I also have friends which i get through my internet, especially Facebook. I used to have simple chats with all of my friends. It doesn't matter that they are very close or whether they are distant ones i still used to communicate with each of them. Even still i an busy i find time for communicating with them.
