Say you received money, enough for a capital to start a business. What kind of business would you put up? Would it have something to do with food, like putting up a diner? Would it have something to do online like an online clothing store? Would have something to do with services like typing, editing or web design? Share your thoughts! All dreams accepted! :)

That's one of the businesses I would ike to put up someday, but I'm not really confident about it. I don't know how much it earns. Is the earning any good?

If I had the money and capital I would probably open a chain of supermarkets in Jamaica that specifically deals in organic produce and products. There is a market for that in Jamaica and it would probably generate high revenue.

Well I just started putting up my little store when I have my own money. It's still on its way.

Wow, I wish you luck with your store. That's a very convenient business especially if it's nearby your house.

If capital is not a problem, then I will buy a small building and turn it into an apartment complex, I would focus on investments that would generate me passive income.

This is a really good idea for passive income. You're right, this would be a profitable business, and you even have the right to raise rent especially if you maintain the complex on a regular basis. This is a very good idea for a business, and on that doesn't require you to constantly keep your eye on.

If I receive some money,I will divide into 3 parts. First I would use to my family,my parents. Second, I would use for social and charitable activities.Thirds I would use to some business in accordance with my hobby. For example, online business and build a good team, traditional food business, and kids clothes.

It's nice that you would set aside a part for charities. I especially like the part about kids clothes. I myself love buying clothes for my kids, although I do most of my clothes shopping online. If you're going to combine online ventures with selling kids clothes, let me know if you're in the country! Hehehe.. I will definitely buy from you.

I guess it depends on how much I could get. First of all, I wouldn't use it for a business but I would buy a chunk of land and use that land to eventually be able to utilize sustainable resources and build as much of an ecosystem as I could. Ideally, this would sustain myself and my family and hopefully others through giving food and jobs to those in need.

This is a refreshing perspective. I like that idea. It's somewhat a long time investment of money. After all, land is a good investment of money. You could also put up a business if you had your own piece of land, like something to do with farming, or poultry. I'm looking into different sustainable businesses that would be good for long term right now. This is a good thing to consider.

I would have to open a multipurpose business. I would like to have a business that repairs and builds custom computers while hosting LAN parties on the weekends. I would also sell Wiccan and gothic like stuff as a side business at the same time.

Very innovative.. I haven't thought of this one, especially since I just let the computer technician worry about the specs of my computer. But building a computer in itself already can get you money. I know because my dad in law is a computer technician, and sets up computers for a living. I'm not a gamer (and I think LAN parties have something to do with gaming, is that right?) but I'm curious how you would go about earning from that, Would you be charging like a registration fee or something?

Well, if I had the money to open any business I want, I would definitely open just about anything and everything, seriously. I mean, I would franchise food chains, open up gadget stores, be in the import/export products business, open hobby shops, sports apparel, internet/computer cafe, clothesline, grocery, construction materials, engineering office, and so much more. I want to be in the business involving every aspect of every man's life. Where business can be made, I want to be a part of it, legally of course.

That's a lot of ideas, but it would be good if you have money to start all of it. It seems very overwhelming to open all at once. I suppose the question would be, of all those possible money making ventures, which one would you set up first?

Before I wanted a food business, anything that deals with food but as of now I observed a lot of people are into it and it is already overcrowded. Now, I am interested in wellness and beauty,I want to have a small salon or day spa.

I would open a place where people can find parts they need for a collection they're collecting. If they have a collection about coins and they been looking for a special coin for a long time and I have it in my store, it will certainly get me a lot of cash. Since it's a collection you can give that certain piece whatever price you want.
I wouldn't do clothes, shoes, or anything like that because it's already too competitive. Famous clothing stores already are attracting many people.

To be honest in all the things I have dabbled to make money with in my life I have always thought of creating a cafe and a hairdressers somewhere people can grab a hot drink and a cake and a haircut as well. I don't know why I have never been involved in any of those businesses but this really is one of my dreams to do.
