I join with this site couple month ago and write an article in there, got 340 views so far but I didn't get anything.
Any explanation for it?
Please share your experiences.

Earning takes time, even for Knoji. What I like about this site is they pay in advance. In your case, you should write more, at least 10 articles. But, you should be careful, Knoji is really strict. They want original articles. Just write about factual articles, those types that you will know that people will search on the net.

I haven't tried Helium but yes I have heard from fellow writers that Helium can also be strict.

Unfortunately, you don't get paid for internal views at Knoji, i.e. if a member of Knoji navigates to your article and reads it, you don't get paid for it. It has to be a guest.
I think you'll get paid a reward when that number reaches 10,000, I'm not too sure. As long as you're getting paid the activity bonus, you should be good.

No. Knoji is well worth it if you become a Level 3 member, i.e. a Knoji Expert. I'm not sure but I guess you have to publish 8 articles consecutively to get the upgrade.
Knoji is a little slow on revenue generation. I mean, it puts around 20 cents into my PayPal account every month, but is that enough?
So, to make up for it, they pay their members upfront: for every article published, you get paid. It started with a few cents (30 or so) for me, and has reached up to $1.50 or so, per article - and I'm not even an Expert yet.
They say that things will get way better once you upgrade, I just don't know how. Lets just hope they are right (because I'm 3 articles away from an upgrade - I've already punched out 2, about to write my last one).
So, I say: give it your best shot. Learn to write well, choose a niche, and get to it. It is well worth it.

I quite writing for some of the article sites like that because no matter how many views your writings get you only get pennies. I decided not to participate anymore since I was investing much time in writing and not getting much return.

No I stay with myLot because I can see the obvious earnings increase daily. It's small, but it's consistent. With the articles it seems like there is almost no return at all. I find mylot relaxing and it is a social outlet for me, but the other sites do not provide this. I stay with myLot!!!

I have articles in knoji that has many pageviews but I do not get any payment for it. They pay per article which is called upfront bonus and I received many of this in the past when I was active in knoji but now that I am not, I often receive payment even if my article got many pageviews.

Even they pay upfront, since the payrate was too low rather then others. Also we forbiden to write any link not like ehow or about.com, if I'm not mistake they pay upto $15 per article.
Seem that knoji still use ecpm to pay their members.
To attract them to keep writing.
