My husband, wanted to know everything on my facebook. I do not have any secrets on facebook. If I change their password, without the knowledge of my husband, would bring disaster to me. @ adhyz: you remember the incident I close my yahoo account, without confirmation to my husband?

I haven't changed my password ever since i started doing facebook. I didn't really see the need since if ever anyone hacked int my account, they wouldn't get anything at all. I just use it to contact friends..that's all. No personal info.

I don't think there is money involved if our account will be hacked in FB. Only our basic information, maybe they could use it to annoy or irritate some people. Or they just want to play with it.

I have changed mine a few times also. I also had a problem where as I received an email from FaceBook stating that my account has been logged in from some location in another state. So I went to change my password. Strangely it happened a second time so I changed my password again. I set up my security where I have to tell them which computer I am using. I have a name for it. So it will let me into my account. I have a pretty difficult password now.

So far, I had only 1-3 password for all account I had in online site, social network, email and social bookmark. I can't live with remember many password for all of my account and I never change my password account yet.Sometimes I'm afraid too with the possibilities my account might be hacked by someone, but I never hope this may happen. I hope everything will be fine

I dont have problem with my facebook password because i already deactived my fb and I will not reactive it, and im glad I did not have so many information of myself on internet. Well, my suggestion why dont you increase your security level, add your phone number to fb and you will get notification to your cellphone by sms whenever there is a suspicious activity on your facebook.

Personally over the yrs. I have been a member with Facebook, my password has never been an issue for me. I don't like some of the other changes they have chosen to do over time, but wish there was a way for us to always choose what design we want, what information we want shared, etc. and leave it at that.

Changing a password periodically is a good practice, but it is preferable not to allow yourself to become too concerned about it and change it constantly. The danger with changing a password too frequently is that it soon becomes difficult to remember which password you are currently using. You can always keep track by making a list of the passwords for various sites, but keeping such a list can be a security issue in itself.
If you make an alphanumeric password then you can consider it to be quite secure.

That has happened to me twice in the past year. It even showed me where the person was located. According to FB they were in Japan. What I don't understand is why someone would want another person's Facebook page? I guess they have their reasons, I just don't get it. Maybe it's just to be mean.

I live in the USA and I guess it could be for my business and profile. Just never thought of that. I guess I just don't think like a thief or a scammer, thank God for that!

I don't worry much about facebook security because I usually only log in on my laptop or phone, but if one is constantly using public computers to access their account, either make sure you completely log out or frequently change the password as a precaution.

It happened to me also and i learn a lesson, never checkbox to remember password, as once you leave system other person can use it. Always login and logout properly and check before leaving.Keep your password strong and alpha-numeric.

Hi adhyz: I have to tell you that my Facebook password is still the same after more than a year. Maybe I am being irresponsible taking the risk but at least for now I haven't had any problems. Someone once get my password some years ago so I had to change it but apart from that I haven't had problems. I only log in in my personal computer.

I agree with you, password should be change every month or once a week. This is to prevent a hacker who wanna retrieve your data. Like a facebook, you should changed your personal account password too. Such as paypal, email or bank account. I usually combine unique words and number for my passwords.

Some times when i open my face book, it says you provided an old password, have you forgotten your password?
Next i put my password and it opens, seems it is kind of security measure adopted by this site.

Make your password hard enough for others to guess, but easier for you to remember. Mix passwords with Big and small letters and numbers significant to you and make it a combination.Like number of a lotto that you always bet on with your school id number or student number and your phone number. and mix them together. In my case, I change my password every 3 months.

This is the reason why I keep on changing passwords all these years that I am a member. Hackers are everywhere and if we are not careful enough, chances are, our social networking sites, not just facebook, might be susceptible enough to be hacked. Also, I make it a point to use passwords which are rather difficult to figure out.
