They said if we are online for hours and facing our computers we are exposing ourselves to the radiation coming from the computer. I wanna know the other risks we can get from it. I'd like to lessen my time for it so I could have a better healthy living.

Human eyes have some type of liquid that protect our eyes. computer radiations dry off that liquid when you are working in computer for hours. back pain, neck pain and one more problem when you are using mouse that will cause some severe pain in hands.
just take relax by crossing your arms and walk for few minutes. and drink more water that will equalizes the liquid dry off from your eyes.

sometimes I feel my fingers are getting numbness I think it's because of radiation also. Apart from back pain, dry eyes, neck pain I think there are more sickness could result from too long use of a computer.

What the computer, your cell phone the television, your appliances and you car are transmitting to you and your developing child is called electromagnetic waves. What you need it an emf guard. They make some for your entire house, that would be my first option, but they also make them for your computer alone. I have no affiliation with this website but I hope I can one day afford to get one of these, I'll either go to toos-for-wellness.com or I'll find a way to make/save soem money on it another way. Also dawntherisingsun is right, sunlight is critical to your health. You need it to make vitamin d which aides in your babies nerve and bone growth. Ok mama to be no stressing either; think happy baby happy baby happy baby :)

@dawn yeah frequent breaks are needed as our eyes need some rest. It is connected to our head so maybe that's the reason why I have headaches sometimes.
@heal I didn't know about the emf guard, a new thing to me. Thanks for sharing this but for sure it is very costly. I have no problem with getting sunlight as I normally go out each day.

I don't think that we need to worry too much about the radiation, as computers don't use a great level of that anyway. I think that the thing that we need to think about the most is the fact that while we're online, we're not being active. Because I work from home at the moment, one of the hardest things that I have had to do is try to keep myself active during the day. I make sure that I have a break from work every hour and will then go for a walk for a couple of minutes just to keep my body and mind active. So many people are overweight in the modern world because of the amount of time that they spend online!

I agree, too much spending time online for any reasons make us inactive and causes obesity. I read this in an article. However, while it's true that computer has no great level of radiation, exposing ourselves to it on a regular basis will surely affect our health.

if we are in the office we have no choice but to use the computer but when we go home, we have the option if we will still spend the rest of our time in front of a computer. Health is better than anything else. We do not want someday to spend our wealth for our health.

I have never heard this surprisingly. I have only heard such things from cell phones and microwaves. I always worried about, not getting enough blood flow and proper circulation. Sitting too long is not a good idea. Or being in any position for too long of a time. Breaks are very important. One can only hope that there isn't a significant amount of radiation involved to do permanent damage. (crosses fingers) But I'd imagine even still it isn't good. Good luck to every long time computer user out there. I wish Healthy and happy lives for all!

There's actually a campaign going on in the UK right now, hosted by the Thrombosis Charity. There has been a study published recently which looks into the risks of e-Thrombosis - thrombosis caused by 'prolonged work and computer-related seated immobility'. You can read more on their website. They have concluded from their studies that prolonged time on a computer, especially without taking breaks, can increase the risk of having a thromboembolism. In addition, prolonged time in front of a computer screen really plays havoc with your eyesight, and if you've ever noticed yourself having headaches whilst surfing the net, you can imagine the strain that it is putting on your eyes. More obviously there is the risk of repetitive strain injury in your wrists.

Oh really! Seems like my discussion is very timely. I will surely research about the campaign. For sure I will get more information about it. Yes, sometimes not only my wrists are having strain but my legs also.
