Hi mylotters!! I am a bit pissed off lately and it's a very loOong story. I tried to keep myself calm by walking a few miles, feeling the soft cool wind on my body and most especially, i am listening to a good music. It really helped me a lot to stay calm. So how do you conquer your bad mood?

if i'm pissed, i usually talk to my friends and tell them how i felt. if felt like i just needed someone to talk to and let my anger out. and after telling somebody, i feel a lot better.

I think that when I get angry, then it is just for the best that I step right out of my situation as soon as really possible. I mean the longer I stay right in a situation that really upsets me, the longer that I am going to really be stressed right out about it. I think that I just take a nice deep breath and if I can a nice long walk.
There are just times where if the anger really gets the better of me, it will be a time to really unwind and not be upset with people. There are just really times where life tends to really ride with the way life. In the end I think that reading, listen to music, or taking a walk are things to calm down my nerves. But naturally the best thing is just getting away from the situation, because I'll just keep getting upset.

Whenever I am pissed off, what I usually do is to distract myself by doing the things I love. It takes so little to make me happy again, so just a bar of chocolate, or good book, or a feel-good movie sometimes do the trick. Sometimes I talk to some friends and family member as well just so I can release the bad feelings I have then I will be okay afterwards.

Usually music can change my mood. If that doesn't work, walking, hard work or excessive exercise works great.
Being in a bad mood and being pissed off very rarely consumes me.
I always can find something else to take my mind off of being upset. I used to read but sometimes that doesn't work because I'd be so mad that I couldn't concentrate.

I usually beat my bad moods the same way you did. I go for a walk if the weather is nice and calm. Walking in rain or high winds is hardly helpful for improving my mood to be honest. :P Listening to music and painting my Warhammer models is really helpful as well.

Sounds a bit like hard work but I usually work myself to the bone - to make better use all the energy that I have put into making myself feel worse. Keeping busy takes my mind off things, and although in this time I am not dealing with my problem directly, I am so exhausted by the end that I no longer have the energy to stay annoyed and therefore in a better position to deal with the problems I'm facing. I have tried music, but sometimes I just feel too irritated to listen. Watching TV usually helps - nothing better than a good soap opera! It's strange how therapeutic watching a fictional character have a difficult life is!

I've recently been rather upset due to the fact that my English teacher threatened to keep me from graduating due to make up work that I turned in but she said she wouldn't accept it. Not only was it upsetting, but I got to frustrated with the thought of not graduating high school this Friday that I started crying.
When I'm in a bad mood, I let out my tears for a while, reflecting on what caused my anger and gradually decrease my anger volume. Afterwards, I clean my face. There's nothing like a fresh face to help lighten your mood! :) Once my face is clean I do little cleaning to ease my physical frustrations as well stretching a little to relieve tension. Once I feel that the area I was working on is clean enough, I walk down to my mailbox and back, and then enjoy the weather from outside on my porch.

Like you, when I am in a bad mood I walk around the park or inside the mall to divert my mood and attentions. It is very relaxing and healthy if your walking, also it makes me calm and help my blood circulation to flow properly.

Well, this depends on what has caused my bad mood, for instance when my boyfriend argues with me or we quarrel in general, I try to use communication if possible. If we are too upset, I put space and time between us, later approaching to discuss the problem. I tell him how I feel about the issue, remind him that I'm allowed an opinion and I also remind him I respect and value his input, but he doesn't need to yell or fight with me to get his point across.
In general, I hit things that don't work, that's the American Way, if it won't go on/fix/work the first time, attack!
Other methods include listening to music, but not rock or anything, that is actually medically proven to raise your blood pressure (which is already up thanks to your bad mood!).
