I have been told to only get my hands wet when I have to wash them.My fingers are also cracking and I have no idea what to do.It is constant irratation all the time and now they are cracking they are stinging with it.I can hardly bare to open my bottle of morphine.Thankfully my husband as well as my family are great as they make sure that I am ok.I just wish that they could find a cure for psoriasis.

I can't offer medical advice but I'll tell you what I would do and what has worked before for many. Try to get more zinc into your system as it helps to keep psoriasis away. Take a salt-water bath for 20 minutes. Epsom salts will also work (Epsom salts mainly contain calcium). When you get out of the bath, cover up with olive oil. Eat foods with plenty of vitamins/minerals. Also, MSO4 (Morphine) tends to lower the immune system - just something to keep in mind.

I have no advice for you, now that I have read your discussion. I thought I could help with a little gem I learned myself years ago. A friend of mine works with flowers, and because her hands are wet a lot, a fungus began to grow and it is similar to what you are suffering. I also had the same thing begin to happen on my hands because I wash them so much, and I tried hand sanitizer--cleared right up. In your case it may not be such a good thing because of the burning you may have.
Olive Oil is known for its healing properties. Put it on several times a day. It will take a while but I am sure there will be some relief for you. I do hope you feel better soon. You are much too sweet to have to deal with such a thing.

sounds like eczema. I have that and using soap is important to stay healthy. but using very good lotion daily helps to. Also I use Dove shampoo that helps my scalp not to itch from the extreme skin up there. As for as lotion. I used Melaleuca lotion. If I were out I would use another lotion not use of yet. Drinking lots of water does help. Do more research for cures on this and you'll get the help you need.

According to natural doctors, drinking 1-2 glasses of water every hour can help you on your problem. This will make you hydrated and could help you reduce your psoriasis. Also, avoid foods that can make your body system increase heat. Example are fried and broiled foods. Try having steamed or boiled foods instead.
I guess, applyng herbal oil like almond oil can help reduce the dryness of your skin.
I hope this can help.

I am just looking at some of your photos and I will say, I can see why you are in so much pain.I have no idea to say what to use, but I did look up psoriasis on the internet and yes again, there is no cure for this either.I have also read some of the responses that you have got as well, but like you say, you have tried everything and nothing seems to work.I am glad that your husband is really good, also that you have other family members that are also good, but a cure would be a lot better. You must be really frustrated, as I know that it can be hard if you have a problem with your hands, just trying to do things that we would think are easy things, but those safety lids on medication can be hard enough and made even harder with painful hands and fingers.Good luck, hope it gets better soon some how.

Oh, that got me worried there. What's the cause of these things? How did you find out it's psoriasis? Whew! Could you share a little bit more information on the stuff? I am worried that I may be having that same thing, only on my arms.
Have a great MyLot experience ahead!

I am glad to hear that your family makes sure you are okay. I sent you several links to site with natural help for the psoriasis. Olive oil, apple cider vinegar, Epson salts, fish oils, etc. I would rather try one of the options on one of the sites that be so bad you can't even open a bottle. And I would eat alot of food with the nutrients in them to help you too.

My brother has psoriasis, but not nearly that badly.
There is not a cream or lotion the doctor can give you to help sooth it?

I don't have to deal with psoriasis all the time, but there are some times that it is something that I have to deal with and that isn't something that I like at all. Typically for me, it happens when the summer is changing to the fall weather and I think that the reason that it happens to me is because I tend to consume less water during that part of the year. So, my best suggestion to you would be to try to make sure that you are drinking plenty of water.

jugsjugs!!! Where have you been - haven't seen you in a while! I wish they could find a cure for psoriasis too. My hubby still has it - and he's really itching now because of the heat. The red patches are back - especially on his legs. Back when he was doing manual work, his psoriasis was literally gone . . . I don't know if it's because he had physical tasks at work (it was a total workout while working) or if it was all the sweat from it (as toxins leave the body through the skin). But these days he thinks it's back from everyday stress at work. Hope you find relief for your fingers soon . . . glad your family is taking care of you!
