It's impossible to loose fat from one location only.
Belly is the last place where it comes off.
It's all about your calorie intake. If you want to loose fat, the energy deficiency should be about 250-500kcal in 24h. This way the muscle mass loss is minimal, and your body wont go into shock-mode. There are a lot of calculators out there, to figure out your daily calorie intake. Loosing 250-500g body weight in a week should be healthy.
It means that you also get all the right nutrition and no junk. No magic diets, just normal healthy food in the right amount.
But best is not to look answers from web, because everyone has their own opinion.
Better buy a nutrition plan from your local gym trainer, because more than 90% people don't know how to eat right.
I got my six pack out without any ab exercises, because I'm lazy doing them too, but never too lazy to choose what I'm eating.

Abdonimal crucnhes is good but I think you really need a lot of patience. It is really hard to remove belly fats. Some says that eating yogurt and oatmeal can relly help. A cup of oatmeal one in the morning and other in the evening can help.
I had encountered and article from Men's Health entitled The Best Ab Workout Ever. It features different exercise to really work on abs. You can download it on the net and have a try.
