when I got stressed, disappointed, angry , and all the negative feelings in the world, by listening to music I feel more better and relieved. maybe its because of the beat that made me so relax even though it's pop and rock music. I feel just the same. does anyone here myloters have the same thought with me? or please share some of your thoughts about my subject. thank you! :D

Music has already been a very big part of my life. Sometimes, it what gets me through hard times. It brings me somewhere relaxing, somewhere I'm free. I guess what makes music a form of stress reliever is that because it is something free, something no one can take away from you. Next, is that it comes in variations which appeals to your senses, whether it may be rock, mellow, classics, alternatives, etc. there will always be that one kind that would appeal to you. Another thing is that it makes you realize that you don't own all the problems, it makes you realize that someone, somewhere, could relate to what you're going through right now.
Music is something free that you can enjoy whenever, wherever. I have always thought that music is the one thing I have when everything else is gone.

I have always thought that it was completely amazing the way that people can listen to music and then find that their entire mood has changed from the way that it was just a short time ago. I know that if I am feeling down for some reason, all that I usually need to do is put on a song and I will feel better pretty much straight away. This should be researched and used more with children who are feeling down because they cannot express their emotions very well, but they might be able to cheer up if they were able to listen to some good music instead.

for me it helps me especially when i'm experiencing and bombarded by negativity form other people, i look for and listen to inspiring music with positive words and messages that i can relate to and whose meaning i want to get to people so they can also be enlightened by it. sometimes i used music to express something to others and people. when i'm angry, in a good mood, whatever mood i'm in there is always a song or music that can fit with it and one i can feel and relate to,..slow or upbeat and hard songs,..

Of course I agree with you, but music helps me in more other ways than emotional issues, although I think that's their primary use to me aside from entertainment. Listening to music gives me peace of mind and it also stimulates my mind to imagine and discover things. It's one of my inspiration when I'm creating something, be it a story or a visual art. I also listen to music to ran away from reality when the real world is smothering me too much, so I'll resort to music to have space and to breathe air. It gives me temporary freedom and solace, it do helps me a lot. :D

I strongly agree that listening to music because you want to ran away from reality. its sad but its really true. we all have our own drama's in our lives that most of the time we want to escape from that drama. and by listening to music we can ran away from it. :D

When I listen to music it helps me to bring out the emotions I have inside. Yes, there are times I feel depressed, stressed, I feel sick, thinking many problems, feel more hatred and many more. Sometimes I just cry it aloud so I could feel comfortable and free. Everyday I need to relax especially when I do my homework, household chores, projects and many more. The best thing that I always do is that I always wear my headset every where I go so I can think, I can relax. :

It's all in the type of music you listen to. For instance, Mozart, Beethoven, and Chopin help me concentrate, while rush, Def Leppard, and Police help me unwind.
