on the same week.. Their finales were amazing and other parts were such a cliffhanger..they should've made it longer.. I don't know when they come back though, maybe a few months.. I hope none of them gets canceled. What show do you like had their season finale this month.

I love Once Upon a Time, and I watched the finale with my entire family and a close family friend. I absolutely loved the finale and I'm so excited for next season! I really hope that there will be a next season, even though I have no idea when it might be. Other than Once Upon a Time, I actually don't watch much television so nothing else that I was super excited to watch was ending.

Judging by her big huge smile towards the end of the episode, I'm guessing that would be the case! I'm so excited! I love Once Upon a Time so much, it's such a great show! I don't have too many great fantasy shows on television to watch.

Once Upon a Time seems to be a good series based on your exchanges. I've not heard of it, but how many seasons has it had? I'm going to ask my husband to find me DVDs of this so I can watch it.

I have to admit that when I first read the subject of your discussion, I was scared that both Once Upon A Time and Vampire Diaries were going off the air for good! Way too many of my favorite shows have been completely cancelled, so I'm always afraid of that happening yet again!
My favorite of the two is Vampire Diaries. I watched the entire first season start to finish. Aren't they now on the second season (or that's the one that just finished)? I didn't watch that season at all. My reasoning for TV shows are that once I get into them, the either cancel or I no longer have the channel. For whatever reason, I try not to get into TV series that are still on the air because that is bad luck for me! What I do is watch them on Netflix after the fact so 1) I don't have to watch commercials, and 2) I never have to wait to watch the next episode.
I watched 24 (8 seasons) and Prison Break (4 seasons) this way and loved it! I plan to do the same for a lot of other series, including One Tree Hill, which ended this year, I believe, after 8 seasons. I also want to watch the two TV series you mentioned in this discussion. I just enjoy seeing them on Netflix the most!
While Once Upon A Time wasn't my favorite show, it started growing on me the more I watched it. I think I've seen at least five to ten of the episodes in the first season. It was ok. You say the cliffhanger was good? So when it comes out on Netflix, I'll have to pick up where I left off on that one!

I've actually contemplated giving up cable altogether. It's so expensive, isn't it? I think before long, cable and live TV as we know it won't exist anymore. A lot of people are going to strictly watching shows online. It's much more cost effective. As long as you have Internet, you can watch anything! For you, that's great you have access to the show on DVD. You won't have to wait for the next episode to air on TV in a week. You can also watch at your own pace. I love not having to wait, which is why Netflix is awesome. I have several TV series in my queue just waiting to be watched. I can't wait to start the next series!

Yeah, i do not like watching shows that just started to but i just couldn't help watching OUAT since the story was nice. I watched a lot of series that got canceled like Kyle Xy, TSCC, Moonlight and Blood Ties, some didn't even reach 3 seasons. I don't like cable though, i'd rather download the show since i do not lie commercials.

I love Vampire Diaries, too. I get to watch Seasons 1 and 2 on DVD, the complete series. I don't get to watch them per epidode on TV, because I don't have cable access. I'm excited to get started on Season 3, now that the series is over.
And, I think I'd check out for Once Upon A time, too.

Both shows are renewed and will be back in the fall in the United States. I think the finales were good and we are going to see more surprises on both shows. The only show I was really sorry to see canceled was Harry's Law, but that wasn't a surprise.

Age of the viewers, as networks care more about viewers that are 18 to 49, then people my age and up. The bad part people my age spend a lot of money, NBC could care less about me.
Lady Kathy Bates is a great actress; however, people my age were the ones that were getting the ratings up. Clearly, this isn't what NBC wanted now or will want in the future.
This wasn't the first season of Harry's Law and my suggestion is to see if you can check it out at your libraries.

I watch Once Upon a Time and it did have a great season finale. I don't watch Vampire Diaries. Several shows had really good season finales were; Hawaii 5-O, The Big Bang Theory, How I Met Your Mother, Hart of Dixie to name just a few. There are several more this week that look good. Desperate Housewives had a good series finale, too.

I've never seen Once upon a time but I watch TVD every week and I feel kinda empty when there isn't an episode and now the season ended with a cliffhanger(which I hate to love and love to hate) and we have to wait until September and it makes me a little frustrated because I just can't wait, but I have to...The Vampire Diaries is NOT getting cancelled, don't worry there is approval for a 4th season so we'll get to see what happens next.By the way,can you send me some link in personal message so I can see what Once upon a time is,it sound interesting.

Thank you for the links! It looks very interesting and I'm gonna check it out when I have a little bit more free time. I'll miss Klaus too,by the way,but at least he will be back in season 4,even though he's in Tylor's body..The person I'll really miss is Alaric,'cause he's never coming back, except maybe as a ghost for a few episodes but it's not the same...

Maybe it was all part of Bonnies spell?I wonder if they will be mad at her for rescuing Klaus, though? Now they can't kill him even more because Elena is now also part of his bloodline....

I'm sure you're happy to know both have been picked up and will air new seasons in the fall. Once Upon a Time is supposed to be back in September, but The Vampire Diaries will not air new episodes until October. Which annoys me. I LOVE The Vampire Diaries. I'm annoyed they turned Elena into a (spoiler alert for those who don't know) vampire, but I am hooked on the show.

Count in The Secret Circle in those finales. They've all ended this week. I haven't watched the Once Upon a Time ending yet but I'm sure this series will be something I will be rooting for next season. The new season would probably be out on September or October. The Vampire Diaries and The Secret Circle will usually be out on the middle of September but they may change the schedules since they've done too many breaks.
I love the Vampire Diaries season finale! I was a little concerned that the series was getting a bit boring... good thing, something interesting finally changed.
