The populations of Orangutan day by day increasingly diminished, even in the last 20 years the population of orangutans have been reduced 55%.
Indonesia have 2 orangutan species. Sumatran orangutans and Borneo orangutans. They both are species that's had classified as the species which critically endangered. As information, The sumatran orangutans remaining only 7500 the population of individuals living in the wild meanwhile the borneo orangutans remaining 57.000 individuals.
Some causes loss of orangutan populations include poaching and illegal logging practices, it over the functions of forests into oil palm plantations, climate change and forest fires.

Orangutan is an endangered species. It is our duty to make sure the survival of this great ape. We are responsible for them because it is us who destroy their natural habitat. Sepilok Orangutan Rehabilitation Centre is set up just for such a purpose. The Centre is situated in Sandakan, in the Malaysian state of Sabah, on the island of Borneo. Although it has helped to sustain the Oragutans, there are still a lot we must do to preserve what little is left.

It is such a shame! We need to concentrate on preserving animal species around the world and do a better job at it.
