Last week my son found a bird, too young to fly by itself. He took take of it for almost a week but since it's too young and can't even fly, it died. He was so sad and even cried about it. Now my wife and I were compelled to buy a set of love birds so he'll forget about the one that died. Problem is, this is our first time to own a pair. Perhaps you have pointers for me.

In setting up the cage it must be put in a place where their is less noise for them to multiple. Supply the birds with vitamins if can afford for them to have good eggs. Feed the birds with feeds and aside of that they also love leafy vegetables like cabbage and sometimes fruits. Often the male bird take care of the eggs. Once a week sprinkle them with water because they love that and also a little sun-rays.

My grandma own a lot of love birds and even birds that can talk.. she has fishes on the aquarium, pigs on the pen, chickens, goats, dog and cat.. It seems like a pet shop already ;))
grandma's love birds are still living until now and what's more interesting about it is that it continuously lay eggs.. I might suggest to you how she take care of those love birds.. She keep it all inside a bird's cage of course so that they won't fly away.. She also made nests out of coconut husks so that lady birds could be easily and be always ready if they will lay eggs it will also become their place to hide on and take their rest.. She fed the birds just like human (3 times a day) using bird's food suggested in the pet shop and make sure that the water is always fresh.. She don't let other people or the visitors too to feed her birds to prevent poisoning and she asked my uncle to make a bird's house which is big enough for them to fly inside and put it on a place that can't be heated by the sun ;))
