i just survived 9 hours without eating yesterday because i was in school and finishing a project to help me pass a subject. We were making this program and i had to go up and down from the 4th floor building twice to print the program. It was quite a shock how time passed by so fast and i never gt hungry. I just felt it at the end, when i was about to go home..

Nine hours is a long time. I hope you drank some water atleast. You really got some exercise. I'd be tired. Funny you didn't have hunger pang noises or anything. Just goes to show that time does go by faster when you keep busy. Keep that in mind when you need time to pass.

I congratulate you on the completion of your project. I would imagine you just let your hunger be something that you just worked through. It could be that it was mind over matter or maybe you coincidentally got hungry when you were done. Either way, you win. Mission accomplished (your project), and now you can eat without worrying about when or how your project is going to get done. I guess that meal will taste a little better now.

There are people like that, when I work in a transcription company everyone is rushing to finish a lot of work, some are not eating lunch and it seems they can pass the day without eating a lot.
That is true, if you are busy you have no time to feel your hunger. I observed that too.

When a person is much addicted and concentration on a job he forgets about everything. At this time he main aim is to do his aim well without any mistakes. It doesn't matter whether you are thirsty or hungry.

I have been in such a situation before. Eventually your mind is more occupied with what you do and it seems you forget to eat. But this is not really good since skipping a meal is not healthy. Moreover, there are times that your hunger will override your body, you cannot think well and you will not have the energy to continue what you do. Anyway, I am glad that you have finished what you did and got home. Best always and best of health...

yes, skipping meals is really not healthy since i have tried it a few times and i feel very tired and sluggish..even standing up was hard.. Yeah, i was so glad when we were done and the teacher accepted our work, if she made us repeat again, i was so gonna go wild...in my mind.

I really feel the same way a lot of the times to be honest with you, which really does show why it is important to keep busy. If I don't keep busy, I start thinking a lot about how hungry I might be, how tired I might be, just how frustrating I might be and idle hands and minds are rarely something that really amounts to pretty much anything good.
Thankfully I'm presented with a number of opportunities where I remain as busy as one could be. It really does keep my mind in a state of occupation and really does keep me from just falling right off of the rails, when it is not time to really eat when I should. Time really does pass quickly when one is busy, and time is over before you know it.

Well, I must say that I also do not suffer much from hunger, when I am busy. However, I must say that at certain times, hunger overcomes me and I can not help but to "put something into mouth." In my opinion, beyond the usual fixed times, it is OK to eat something when we are hungry.

I always forget eating or I don't get hungry whenever I'm busy or I'm too caught up with things I'm doing. It would usually be my friends and family that would remind me if I have already eaten my lunch, dinner etc. They're actually annoyed when I forget my own meal and I think it's also the reason why I have gastric ulcer too. Although I think it started when I reached my 4th year high school because our class schedule really sucks and our lunch time is passed 12, I think our lunch period was 1:30. Yeah, it's not a good habit at all but most of the time, I don't have appetite so I'll just wait a little later to eat my meal and I would eventually forget it because I'm reading or using the computer.

That is quite natural friend. if you are doing something with more interest then you will forget other things. Somebody will forget because of tension (in case of adult) somebody will forget because of fear of exam (in case of students). i also forget the lunch when i m having exam because of fear.
that is happens to everybody but for different reasons

It is a natural feeling to experience. When you are busily engaged in some vocation which is absorbing you would not feel hunger or even thirst.

yeah, it happens when one becomes very busy and the mind is pre-occupied with something else rather than sensations. it shows the power of the mind. the mind really controls our body. if the mind is unto something, it does not make you feel any sensation. only later when things have settled down, then it becomes clear and sensible to feel something.
