Am I the only one having bad luck?

I swear I wonder if I am the only one that is having just the worse luck. It seems everything has been going wrong lately. For starters it seems everything on our car is deciding to break at the same time. First it was our back brakes going out, got them fixed and then our radiator decided it wanted to go out. I mean, seriously come one. Then, after months of looking for a job I finally found one, but because my back injury I found out I couldn't stand on my feet for 8 hours, so I had to give that up. So now, I am force to work from home while my husband finds a job. Is anyone else having luck like me?

Dont worry i feel like i am haveing some of the worse luck ever. I had to quit my job dur to health reasons that randomly happend then, i had some more issues. I am now with no income and i am doing everything online i can think of to get some money coming in and so far nothing is working. I been doing things for other 3 months now and i havent gotten more then $25.00 which i dont know where you are from but where i live that is about enough to fill the gas tank in my car for one week.

That is pretty much what happened to me, I have 2 slipped disks in my back and I don't have any insurance, so I can't get pain medicine for my back so therefore I can't stand on my feet for 8 hours without seriously hurting and I can't risk falling to injure my back more. I live in Louisiana and $25 will fill up the tank in my car and if I am lucky it will last a week, but our car has a small gas leak so it eats up our gas more. See, what I mean more issues lol

Yeah i know what you are going through, mines that i somehow ended up with anxiety problems and panic attacks along with my stomach problems i have had for a while now. I started haveing these attacks after high school right in the start of college and i had to quit school because of them i quit driveing to and i had to quit my job. now i am getting better but, still scared of what has happend to completely go out and try again so for now i am trying to do online work. I just wish i could find something that could actully suport me.

yea, same here. You can make money online, but it takes time to get it going and actually start making money. I just wish it was so much easier then that, then we wouldn't have to worry.

It is not bad luck at all if you think positively. Many people out there are less lucky than you. You can find another work that is suitable with your health. You should be happy because your husband is always beside you and he does care the family also.

no, you are not the only one going through these rough financial times. don't worry, you are not cursed. at one point i thought i was. then things started to turn around for me, as they will for you. what's happening now is just a transition. suppose another door is being opened for you. you probably need to be working from home now. you are probably getting ready to make some serious money from home online. you obviously won't be able to do it if you have job. maybe THE UNIVERSE knows that is in store for you, and this is why this is happening. i hope you feel better soon. i know things will get better. you must trust that.

You could be right, maybe I am designated to work from home. Its kinda of ironic because I just told my husband this morning that I really didn't want to work outside of the house :) altho I would if I could.

Hello tammy, I understand but i think bad luck has nothing to do with it. there's always a moment for all of us that we have some unfortunately things that happen in our every day lives.just remember that there are more people who have unfortunate lives than you, because you have a job and that is the most important thing. btw i haven't had a job in five years

oh, I know I have more than alot of people and I never take that for granted. It just gets very frustrating when it seems everything goes wrong. I am not working either due to my back injury.

It's obvious you are having a tough time but I notice these things come in threes and your 3 have been and gone now so - hopefully, you won't have any more nasty things happen to you. As for me, I've been unemployed now for nearly 4 years and it's taking its toll as I hate not having any of my own money to spend..or even to save some. Either or both would be nice. It took me about 3 hours to fill in an application form last week for a job I really wanted. Thought about it long and hard but I didn't even get an interview. It's hard finding something to write about when I haven't been working all this time. It's the experience they are after you see (which I have but nothing recent) and I did get feedback - by email would you believe, but I've read it all before to be honest and I'm becoming sick and tired of the same waffle I get from employers. I do make a bit of money online but nothing like a full-time job.

I hope so because I am so looking for a positive change. I am sorry to hear you have been out of work for so long and I understand how you feel. Its so hard anymore to find a job, its like if you have even a year lapse on your work history, no manager will even give you a chance. they don't care the reasons why you haven't worked or that your a hard worker. My husband is facing that same problem and he has a good work history, its just for a year he didn't work so they look at that and frown on it. On manager basically razzed him about that, saying he had 19 years of experience, blah, blah and was basically telling my husband that because he didn't work for one year he wasn't a good candidate for the job. Now this job was at sonic, I mean if you get a hard time finding a job at a fast food place, then you know that its bad. I hope like you said luck comes our way, bc bills want pay themselves.

I am sorry you are having bad luck with your car, job and health. But there really is a positive side to your life right now...you just are only seeing the bad side. Please try to set a few minutes aside to think of all the positive things that are going good in your life. Such as... friendships, family members, the fact that your car is still running is a plus. I have a 1994 Jeep that has 219xxx,xxx miles on it's motor. I replaced the transmission last year with my tax money and planned on doing the same with the motor this year but other things like bills took over my tax refund this year. I am greatful everyday when I get in my jeep that it starts and goes down the road. My hours at work got cut...bright side...I still have a job..Hope your luck turns around soon, remenber..look for the positives also not just the negatives:-)

Liz, oh I am thinking about the positive things in my life, I just told my husband that we are lucky with what we have and alot of people are worse off then us. I am so grateful for my family & friends, just sometimes life gets a bit overwhelming lol. As far as our car, well that is another story.. seems now there is something else wrong with it after we just replaced the radiator. If we didn't need that car, I would blow it up lol

Hi, Who ever wrote 'the grass is greener on the other side' was definitely going through a patch like yours. Every time I wanted to board a particular bus at a particular time, on reaching the bus stop I found the bus had left before time and inadvertently the next bus would arrive late. I used to think it happens only to me. Every time I am late the boss is early and when one day I do manage to come early I find the boss has called in sick that day. I used to think it happens only to me The day I forget the rain wear it rains heavily, and when I have it neatly tucked in my bag, it will be a very sunny and warm day. I used to think it happens only to me. In the restaurant when I am in a tearing hurry my food takes forever to come, and when I have time to kill and thinks of a gingerly relaxed lunch, the food comes even before I had time to look around for someone whom I may know. I used to think it happens only to me. The list is endless, welcome to the club, 'I think it happens only to me' God Bless.

I'm sorry about what happened. I know it's difficult to believe and accept at this stage when you are hurt. But everything has a purpose and what is a life with good things only. When unfavorable things come, believe summer always follows winter. Maybe you are meant to enjoy a lot after this. Without this hardship, you wouldn't know how much is happiness.

Hi Tammy, I do think that you are not alone in this one...since I have an extreme bad luck for the past two years with my life. And now, I am in the midst of just giving up and just won't try or push any harder because if I do...things would get more complicated. I do have a job and I am grateful with but it's just so hard to accelerate it the way I wanted to be. I guess, I should have settle as of the moment and just be contented... Anyways, have a great day!

Hello tammymarie, I am sorry to hear that you are feeling this way and I hope that things will turn out okay for you eventually. I do not really believe in bad luck. I know that everything happens for a reason and although it is not always a happy day everyday, the sad things which happens to us has its purpose. It could be just a way to remind us of some things which we have already forgotten. Or it could be a good source of new learning and understanding. This is just my opinion, but I sincerely hope that you are okay now.
