One of my coworkers was disappointed in mylot. For a first time user, It is such a discouragement for someone to bashfully tell her how come she is posting a "repost" thing from other sites or not her "original thing"?
I checked her wall, posts and comments, She may give a one liner thought and so but most of the mylotters finds it okay; except for most persons here who doesn't "like repost"
Everyone hates repost; even I do. I find it spammy. That's why I replace mylot over Facebook. But if my friend wants to post a good thought or two; I would appreciate it; rather than hate speech all over. Giving my thoughts about the one who discourages reposts and such; check the content first if it doesn't have sense. I know not all of us mylotters are not fluent in constructing sentences but do not try to discourage those other individuals who are just in the beginning to explore this site.
Remember; we are the reason this site grows. Don't be a part of the problem this site won't grow.
I lost her now in mylot for good; She won't be able to post again and for some mylotters may find normal like dust in the wind and such; because everyone here in this site does come and go. But how about the one who keeps on posting encouragement posts are now being discouraged by those haters who couldn't appreciate positivism?

Hi,
Lets look at the positives, You standing up for your friend is big plus for both of you, for you because it speaks volumes for your concern for a fellow worker and you trying to deeply explain the whole thing speaks of your rationale, For your friend she has a good friend in you as you speak good of and for her in absentia.
Every site has some guidelines and what is good for the gander may not be good for the geese. So one has to learn the guidelines first and foremost of what is acceptable and what is not in a particular site, in your friends case, Mylot.
Sometimes people who really do not mean bad but when communicating comes off a little strongly and we christen it hate mail or speech. Everyone is not equally comfortable in the use of English language so one has to allow some provisions for everybody.
It is unfortunate your friend is disappointed but with you around us we hope some day she too may return to be with us in general and you in particular.
God bless.

Well, if I don't want a post I would rather not comment on it for the respect of the author. Posting a hate comment under a post just reflect who you are. I believe that it is better to be quiet if you don't have something good to say. You could just report the post quietly than insult a member outright where many can read it. You should at least consider the other people's feeling and how it will affect her/him. Please tell your friend to not be discouraged for it is part of this world. Just keep on posting and happy mylotting!

There are always haters. Some people are trying to discourage us on what we try to do. Well it is her choice. We can't force them to join mylot and be active in it.

Hate only begets anger, and anger leads to nowhere but trouble and regret, and probably attention too. The hater's negativity on such posts would surely get attention as much as the positivity, lol! The impact of their negative thoughts could be construed as criticisms or self-righteous opinion, overall reflecting the kind of personality they have.

Well, those haters can go. But they shouldn't be discouraging other people who likes it here.
In my opinion, people who are indeed opinionated would like it here. But for those who are not, they will indeed find this site boring.
