I hate it when I forgot what I must do because of facebook

Have you felt the same way? This morning, I have to attend my training in the computer institute. As I have 30 minutes more, I checked my e-mail and make some response. After that I open facebook to make a post on the link I will visit this afternoon. I happened to see many good pictures of my colleague, students and friends. I really love those pictures and I press like and give my comments. Unconsciouly, I forgot minutes passing by. I almost forgot that I have my training today. Facebook is really addicting that is why I must minimize the best I can the time I am spending on it. I cannot remove my account there as that is one site that helps me contact important persons.

Facebook is really a good way to go through your boring days but it has also the capability to pass out the valuable time. There was many times Facebook make me late to the things. I am really addicted to Facebook and it makes us to spent more and more time on them still now I cannot manage my time on Facebook. I am always slow at my things when I am on Facebook.

No. I am a member of FB but i hardly ever go to the site and i am not at all addicted to it.The only advantage of the site,at least for me, is when somebody`s birthday comes and i get an email from FB saying so and so will be celebrating their birthdays this week. This reminder gives me an opportunity to wish my friends and relatives, which otherwise i would have completely forgotton.I am not very social nowadays and therefore don`t keep in touch through FB.

Wow, it seems that facebook doesn't affect you much. That is great.

I don't have a facebook account right now since this became my problem as well but not the only reason why I closed my account. Me and my husband is somewhat sharing his facebook account but I only use it when I need to contact a friend who's not online for example in his/her ym or gmail. It was somewhat addicting at first but then again I managed to control it since I'm working @ home and I can't risk myself having to look on facebook instead of doing my job.

I am trying to discipline myself too every time I open my facebook account but there are really times that I get so surprised with the updates or news about my friends or colleagues that I really cannot stop putting much time looking and commenting on it.

Yes I do, but calling them from Philippines to other countries is expensive unlike chatting in Facebook is free.

Wow, it's like I am addicting to playing games in the computer or to listening to the music. I can forget times and realized it only after hours flew by. We should be able to control ourselves, but I know it needs a lot of training and hard work...

Hi,annierose~ Kind of. Time passes by quickly when we are on social networking sites. I don't particularly spend a lot of time on Facebook, since I need to use a certain software to get access to it(You probably have heard,it's banned in China). And it's not working very well lately. But when I do spend time on Facebook,I like to go through other people's statuses and photos too. And sometimes I would like and comment. And before I could realize it,it's been a couple of hours. So yeah, I usually don't go to social networking sites when I have something to attend to. Since I know I suck at self-control.Kidding~

same thing is happening to me. most of the time, i plan my activities the night before. but when i see my computer in the morning, i can't resist but turn it on and open facebook. i wouldn't notice hours pass by until i realize that im hungry and hadn't done my laundry that morning. i think it happens to most facebook users.

I used to be so attached to facebook before that I almost always skipped important meetings because of it. Butt now, things have changed and I am no longer as attached as before. Also, I have to limit myself because I know it is no longer healthy, but I still visit it from time to time just to check what my friends are up to these days.

It's good to connect with friends through social networking sites like Facebook. It's one easiest way of finding our long-lost friend, but its just a matter of self-discipline and a time-management. There is nothing wrong if often times you will open your Facebook account as long as you have to set priorities, and you have to set limitations...So, good luck then if you could control yourself not to be addicted with this networking site...

you don't have to cancel your account in facebook.it's the only avenue where we can connect to friends and relatives. you just have to prioritize things and do them according to their importance.if you have other more important things to do than logging in to facebook then you should implement discipline to yourself. me too got this problem before but i managed to get through it as i learned to prioritize things.

For the part three years away from mylot I've been so addicted in facebook good thing I have my own business to run too. But when I decided to quit my business and go back to mylot I was more addicted to mylot than Facebook. Now a days I visit Facebook not that too often only when my daughter told me that she uploaded new pics of my grandson.
