Having a funeral while you're still alive sounds like a good idea.

Last night I found out through facebook that an old friend passed away and I was saddened by dozens of posts on her facebook wall by her friends and the people she knew expressing their sorrow, regrets, gratitude and affection to her. The thing is, she's no longer around to read all those posts. I've noticed that when its your birthday there'll only be a handful of people in your life who would actually care enough to greet you but when one passes away, there'll be a flood of previously unexpressed emotions. I think that the idea that Morrie had from the book Tuesdays with Morrie of having a funeral while he was still alive battling his sickness is a pretty clever idea. That way, you can still hear all the things people wanted to say to you and you could do likewise. What do you think?
