Valeria Lukyanova: Living Barbie Doll?

I've read an article wherein a die-hard Superman fan went on a surgery to look just like Superman himself. This time, there's this 21year old Russian woman named Valeria Lukyanova who looks like Barbie.
The Russian woman is an internet sensation and claims that she wanted to be a living Barbie. As much as people claims that she went through the "knife procedure", meaning surgery and there are quite a lot of critics (why? I really don't know. It's her life anyway.)
Her skin's so fair, her eyes looks similar to Barbie's and of course, her "bounty" chest and totally slim waist (I mean, just look at it!)
Some reads. Not referral links:

Honestly speaking, the woman is indeed beautiful but she kinda freaks me out. The fact that she looks like a living doll kinda creeps me out I don't know why but dolls with human-like faces scares me... Barbie excluded. Think of those old dolls that can walk or those "My Baby All Gone"-type of dolls :D

Hmm... in that picture she seems to be missing Barbie's big iconic smile. lol Honestly, looking at her, I don't really think she's had any plastic surgery. She's just wearing lots of make-up. But I don't know, I'm no expert. If she has had plastic surgery, well it's her business and her money. If that's what she wants to look like, then power to her. Very few people get to be able to look like what they want to look like.

I do agree with you. It's her money and body so she can do whatever she likes with it as long as she's happy (which I think she is). From what I know there are other girls around the world who are also aiming to look like dolls. I shared an "Ageha" link somewhere on this page. Feel free to check it if you want to :)

I don't think there's anything necessarily wrong with that desire, just I hope that anyone trying to attain doll-like looks has realistic expectations and is careful with her surgery, and if they can't attain the look that they want that they wouldn't allow it to destroy their own self-value. Thanks for the link, I did take a look.

I have read about her before as while. She does look very much like a Barbie doll and Barbie dolls seriously freak me out. Her waist is like.....extremely super grossly small! How does she do it? And her chest is huge....like a Barbie doll. She went through a surgery just to be a Barbie? Wow...must be a die hard fan. But still, if you compare her to her original non surgery self...she looks like she went through a lot of surgery...but of course these are just my view no offense intended...

No worries because I also think that she might have been through a number of surgeries. About Barbies... I really don't know but I haven't played much Barbies while I was a child. I enjoy playing with it when I change her clothes but other than that, I just left her lying somewhere inside my room. Lol! There was even a time when I played hair stylist and I cut Barbie's hair.
Actually, I just find dolls with human face creepy. I don't know why though. Lolz!

Yikes! It's really freaky. Some people are speculating whether it's true or just a photoshop hype. But she does have pictures where here eyes aren't heavily made up. I wonder what would happen if someone told her she looked nothing, NOTHING at all like the real Barbie Doll, then what would she do. She looks like a 3D anime character at best, but not THE barbie doll. Anyway, people like this are beyond saving. She just totally looks out of this world. There was also one article that made me wonder in her favor: she does look like Barbie Doll, but will she ever find a Ken? LOL

My exact thought! Where would she look for a Ken look-a-like?
I don't know about looking like Barbie but just looking at her super slim waist kinda freaks me out. Yes she's pretty and sexy and all that but there's just something about her that doesn't strike me right...
She should start taking cosplay as a profession. I'm sure quite a lot of otaku or anime and cosplay fans would die to have their pictures taken with her :P She should go to Japan and just ride with the "Ageha" craze.
Check this out to have an idea what "Ageha" is. Not a referral site: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Koakuma_Ageha

I saw this in the news, a living barbie, a girl who looks exactly just like a barbie. I wonder how that happened. Maybe while she is inside her mother's womb her mother keeps looking and always play barbie dolls xP. But I find her not very attractive. When I fist saw her i thought she's a little creepy, but I wonder maybe she's a reincarnation of the person who created Barbie.. (^^,) My imagination is getting wild. hehe

Hahaha I kind of get what you're trying to point out. It's pretty funny that you think that way. What she might think as attractive might not be attractive to others anyway :D
Well, as long as she's safe and happy who are we to judge her, right?
Thanks for the reply! I appreciate it.

i saw her pictures on the net, and i think she's carved into perfections.she's so pretty but i'm afraid thather perfection will lead to insecurities of our younger generation making them feel that they ought to have small waist and perfect figure that may lead them to become anorexic

It might but it would always depend on how the younger generation would take her "perfections" in :P Her definition of perfection might not be the same as others would define it.
I always look up to people who have their own stand and would not let others derail their way of thinking (on the good and positive, note of course)

She is pretty but creepy. And look how thin her waist is. Does she still eat food? and her body is so thin and small like anybody who will touch her can break her bones. Thanks to science and money she can have that. But i don't like artificial beauty.

She does look a wee bit fragile right? Well, as most people would suggest, it's her body, her looks, her life and her happiness. It's up to her on what she wants to do with it and as long as she's happy then everything's good. But yeah, she looks a bit alien to me :P

I think that Valaria Lukyanova looks just like a Barbie doll. Well done to her I think but it plastic surgery would not be something I would ever so. I love dolls and over the years have collected many dolls. In my lounge I have costume dolls from different countries. In my bedroom I have some china dolls. I would not like to look like any of those dolls. I hope that the 21 year old lady from Russia will have a lovely time in her life being a real Barbie doll.

@maximax8: That's great to hear. It's great to see women/girls who collect dolls and accessories as hobby. Personally, I'm quite freaked out with dolls which looks like a person (no offense here) and I don't even know the reason why.
@ilovechocolate: It could be or maybe during her younger years, several people told her she can look like Barbie so she pushed on with that thought and went through surgery. As long as she's happy then everything's good :)

hello kei,
Honestly, I don't like dolls as well.
I don't know but I do not like seeing one or having doll displays at home.
Good thing my daughter also doesn't like doll at all- she prefers boy toys when she's small.
She's pretty because of those surgery- but how long would it takes?
