Cancelled my course

I'm so disappointed. I've just had to cancel a course that I was booked to go on in August. It was a permaculture teacher training course, but sadly a combination of travel arrangements, child care and finding someone to take care of the animals combined with having a very busy summer booked meant that it was just not practical.
I was planning on visiting family at the same time, so I'll have to miss out on that treat as well.
I'm hoping that I can do the course some other time instead and have asked to be kept on their mailing list.
Have you had to cancel any plans recently? Sometimes there is just too much going on at the same time and something has to give.

I'm so sorry. Maybe you can reschedule it in the fall.

I have not had to cancel a class, but I do feel like I canceled the rest of my life. After what I have been through and still going through, any plans I might have had have gone by the way side. Nothing is that important anymore. Nothing really matters. I used to look forward to things and get excited when certain holidays come around, but not anymore. The only thing that matters to me now is my children. Nothing else counts. At least thats how I have been feeling. So I don't make any plans.

yea i know how you feel to change your plan, its so frustrating to do so, any way, i hate to do that but to make my feelings not so angry every plan i decide to do i put a side a possiblility for not doing it so i do not feel sad when it has to be delayed or forgoten even.

It is a shame that you have had to cancel your course that you booked for August. I know child care can be difficult to arrange. My disabled son goes to school and if school isn't on there is nobody else to look after him. Sometimes I extend the time my daughter is at her childminder. My mom might do this for two or three hours if I am lucky. Finding someone to take care of animals can be complicated. My mom usually looks after my two miniature poodles when I go on a trip overseas. She fell over and broke her arm. During that time I had to employ a pet carer. She charged a lot so it was hard to afford. I have had a couple of trips canceled but this hasn't been my choice. I booked a flight to Cancun but hurricane hit the Mexican coast. The airport was closed and so the travel agency canceled my ticket. They gave a full refund immediately so I booked to go to the Maldives instead. Luckily I did manage to go to Cancun a few months later and that time I visited three different countries: Mexico, Belize and Guatemala. The most upsetting time I booked to go to Halifax in Canada and the company folded. I got an email saying that so it was very disappointing and worrying. I decided to book a flight to Vancouver instead. Despite the airline striking my trip that time went ahead.

Childcare is always hard to arrange. Finding someone you trust can be difficult, particularly if you are away overnight as well. I used to do some childcare work for friend of mine who's son was having some difficulties with school at the time. Like in your son's case, if there was no school then there was noone else who could look after him other than her.
