We know a lot of mom(or dad) out there who are really busy and are not always on the mood to wrestle in the kitchen and when they arrive from work they are usually tired. I have read a lot of discussions from myloter's who are ingenious in creating Fast~FuzzFree~Fun cooking that they do with there family and friends. And Im sure most of the home cooks out there have a philosophy that "cooking shouldn't be stressful" in fact it should be exciting and fun! so lets go down to the bussiness shall we...? For me a Fast-Fuzzfree-Fun cooking should be a well thought plan, Marinated meats are great for dinner because you can just pan fry it after you arrive even your hubby could do it for you if he arrives first You can add some fresh salads and viola a dinner in just a minute. Left over meats are great little things that we can use for breakfast. Sometimes If we have left over adobo (chicken/pork stewed in vinegar and soysauce) I usually chop them to small pieces, put them on top of a sliced bread, sprinkle some cheese put in the toaster and then i have instant mini pizzas. Eggs are a big yes for breakfast you could do omellete, sunny side-up, poached, over easy, hard/soft boiled, scrambled, Fritta, eggs Benedict. Name it the eggs can do it! One pot cooking is also a winner you just sautee and add the rest of the ingredients let it simmer for an hour or so, read a magazine/book or start a discussion or response to a discussion here in mylot and smell the heavenly aroma of the stew inside your house. And when your guest or family arrived you have became a culinary genius without the stressful preparations! so whether its for a busy single person dish or a cooking Bonanza Feast with you family and friends, I wanna know your Tips for a Fast~Fuzzfree~Fun cooking

my co-worker swears by her crock pot for her meals. we finish work at 4:30 and because her husband is a teacher in the next town, they both get home around the same time and most of the time, dinner is almost all ready for them.

To me no fuss means unmarinated. Marinate is sort of a fussy step. And the longer it is marinated the better the meat is. Pan frying isn't real healthy either. Left overs of any kind are great for any meal. Vinegar and soysauce with some mustard and afew herbs sounds like a great marinate. I do love to be working on here and smell dinner cooking. That is a good thing. I think that this time of year some cold cuts, cut vegetables and alittle cottage cheese is what I call a healthy and satifsfying meal.

My freezer and my friedge are my kitchen´s helper. I make sauces and pastes and place them in plastic wraps in the freezer. It´s easy to thaw them in lukewarm water (I don´t like microwave ovens) and heat them while I have some pasta cooking. I make rice for two or three times. It can be kept in the fridge for over a week. I wash and dry green veggies to quickly mix for a salad. All leftovers are recycled into something else easy to make. Omelettes are wonderful with almost anything plus diced cheese that will melt and some chives (from my garden). All this takes minutes.

Yoo are right, battle with kitchen must be fun and stress-free. Me and my wife both work. So what we did is to have planned menu for the week so that whenever we came home our son's nanny was already prepared the ingredients for dinner and ready to be cooked by me or my wife. Preparation of the thngs needed in the kitchen really consumes most of the time in the kitchen. We used to bring our lunch in our work. What we did is to prepare all the things and have it cooked in the morning while having breakfast. What I can share is on doing soups like sopas (chicken noodle soup), while preparing for the veggies, you can already start heating the water (heating water takes time). When it was already boiling, you can already add the noodles (by this time you are already done with the veggies). While waiting for the noddles to be cooked, you can already saute the chicken then add some hot water from the boiling water. Once done sauteing the chicken you can put it in the noodle mixture, a little bit of boiling, throw in the veggies, simmer for few minutes and voila, you had already the soup. Like what you said about adobo leftovers, just shred the meat and add it in a fried rice and you will have special fried rice. Preparing the ingredient ahead of time really reduces time staying in the kitchen.

My fast favorite meal would be bbq chicken ranch wraps. my family sort of made the recipe proabley heard about it from other people i am not sure but, anyhow its so quick and easy. You buy a bag of bbq chicken strips, i like tysons buy tortilla wraps cheese and ranch You cook the chicken first then, put them in the wrap with cheese and ranch wrap them up and up them back in the oven for a few minutes and there good to go. they are all so yummy too.
