Will anyone take Michael Owen?

So... Michael Owen's Man U contract is not to be renewed. Do you think any other 'big' club would take him given his injury history? And if not, where will he go? Surely no smaller clubs will be able to afford his wage demands unless he seriously compromises them....

Michael Owen was one of the best strikers I have seen in the football world. Given his short stature, it is surprising how he is able to run with such speed and kick the ball into the net where he wants it to be. Sadly, he has fallen victim to injury woes and has been unable to jump-start his football career again. Maybe leaving Newcastle was a mistake.

I do not think he will now get any big contracts from any big club. Now if he wants to prolong his career he can look for a career in MLS, Chinese League or UAE.
I am not sure if he will play for any smaller club in England.
Cheers!

Well theoretically he can still have 2-3 years of good football before retiring as he is 32 y.o. But I don't think any of the teams that finished above the 10th place this year would actually want to sign him. Maybe a good player for an inexperienced team or a "fighting against relegation" team and both times only if he can pass the medical tests. It's sad though cause Owen was one of the unluckiest talented strikers in the last couple of decades.

i think iam not sure if there are a bigger club want to contract him..
his injury history is remind us like owen hangreavas..
i think Owen must prepare that this season is his last season for playing or he must consider play outside the european league like MLS or asian league

He is a very good player when he is fit. I think he has to take a very significant pay-cut to have any chance of playing again in the Premier League. The teams that would take a gamble on his fitness would be those mid-table teams such as Sunderland, Aston Villa, West Brom, Fulham or the just promoted teams. He could be on a 'Pay as you play' kind of arrangement to get a win-win situation.
