I very seldom buy these donuts but I love them. But last night I was in town and on their sign it said HOT NOW. So I could not help myself. I went and bought a dozen. As I was in drive through paying for them when the young man brought them to me. he handed me the large 12ct box of fresh hot donuts and then asked me how many napkins do you need? I said Oh no I don't need napkins I am driving right home. I thought about that. if you get donuts they are not the easiest thing to eat when they are fresh and warm and glazed driving. Between being sticky and glaze falls easily, I did not want to have to clean out my car. Do you wait to get home to eat donuts? to me they are one of the messier foods not easy to eat and drive.

I love eating doughnuts, especially when they are freshly made. I can't even wait to go home and eat one.

hahaha.........next to doughnuts, I love cupcakes. Those rn't so messy =) . how could the car get messy if u wait to eat them @ home? or maybe u might be sneaking bites @ every turn. =) u know I think there are doughnuts that can be delivered to homes. Oh, I remembered, Swansons has the perfect sweet doughnuts. All that needs to be done is put them in the micro and then shake them in a bag with cinnamon and sugar and " voila" .............doughnuts! They r so yummy and u won't worry about getting your car messy.

Krispy Kremes doughnuts are messy. I love them we normally eat them in the store but they are so good. The last time I was pregnant I had to have a doughnut ever time we went to the doctor and pretty much the same thing now with my second child on the way. It is on the way to the doctors office and even worse when I have to deliver because its on the way there too.

thats awesome ShyBear cause at least you got a donut before you got to the hospital as you know you would not be given another thing to eat once you were in delivery LOL. Awesome story!

Oh Krispy Kreme donuts are so good. I love the smell of them. We only drive by ours once in a blue moon but they do smell so good....especially if its cold outside and I can get a nice warm donut with some coffee..... oh boy.. Honestly, when we have stopped I have not been the one driving and we always ask for napkins so I can eat mine right away. If I were alone I think I would have to wait.

Hello marie and good afternoon. I have also lived where they make those Krispy Kream donuts but I don't really care for them. For me they are too soft and mushy. In fact I haven't had what I think of as a good donut in a very long time. I like a donut that is more like an artisan bread in texture. I know that the krispy kreams are very popular but too sweet for me. Your right about them being very messy to. I bought some donut holes the other day( not the krispy kream brand) and when I got them home they were very sticky. Had to be eaten with a fork instead of the fingers. Just like the krispy kreams were so mushy. I should have known better.

Hi deebomb I used to buy Dunkin Donuts little glazed donut holes with the tiny bit of raspberry jelly in them for my children. yea if you have a good donut maker he will spread the batch out and let the glaze dry a bit before placing in the tray to be sold so they will be more able to pick up. My momma when she was 18 worked for a donut maker somewhere in Springfield Missouri That was back in the 1940's

It is delicious but too sweet for me. I don't like donuts that much. But I prefer to have it hot. It is yummier for me. And I always have some coffee preferable black coffee because it is too sweet to eat.

Ohhhhhhhhhhhh, I haven't had a Krispy Kreme in a long while! There weren't any around locally initially . . . so when I first heard of them, I didn't know what that was (apparently that's east coast thing I guess?). So when they actually opened some shops out here, they were all the rage. Then a few of them closed down - and I don't know where I would get them (I suppose if I really searched online, I could find them again). When they are fresh, they ARE good . . . and I don't care how messy they are . . . if I want one and I get them in my hands, they are going into my mouth at any cost - ha ha!! And I DO snag a million napkins if I can!

Some of the grocery stores carry a few items of krispy kremes. We only have one shop for all of Panama City and Beach side too. They also have trays made for some of the more modern convenience/gas stations. The smell gets me as soon as I walk in the door. I only get about 2 to 3 dozen a year my son, husband and I consider it a nice treat. Thanks for sharing.

I have not thought about Krisy Kremes in such a long time. I dna't even think of anyplace around me right now that offers Krispy Kremes as a choice. I can remember plenty of late night snacking and early morning breafast treatrs that involved searching out anywhere to have a fresh Krispy Kreme.

good day marie2052, same as you are, i also love donuts but i always make it a point that i don't eat them inside my car. as some small pieces of it will somehow fall down if i will eat one. and it is quite difficult to clean especially if they stucked in the seat covers. and if ever i have the cravings for donuts, i will just eat one over a dine-in or better yet, i will wait until i got home.

I will always wait til I get home too. Then they are cooler and I enjoy the less stickyversion by trying to eat them while they are still warm.

I love those Krispy Kremes, but they are quite expensive. They cost more than double the price of the more popular donuts. I remember those college days when we would have the freshly baked donuts for breakfast. Those donuts only had a stick of cheese as filling and rolled in confectioner's sugar. The donuts nowadays tastes like cakes with all the different kinds of icings and fillings. I like the Krispy Kremes especially the glazed ones since they are not too sweet. However, it is not sold here in our area and it would be quite a nuisance to be traveling all the way to Makati just to have some of those donuts.

HI Yahnee you are right one krispy kreme glazed is 1.00 each. Buy a box and its 5.79a dozen so you just have to purchase at least one dozen and sometimes more if friends are coming over. We need to get a coouple boxes and sharewith each other to those that do like them.

I would prefer not to eat them hot, but I would have requested some napkins anyways. I never buy donuts like that anyways so I wouldn't have the choice to make in the first place. I don't eat much messy food in the car either, mostly things like granola bars, etc. if I truely have to.

I love Krispy Kremes, though it is not available in my town or nearby towns. This is the only donut I often request to my sister to bring home everytime she visits us here in the province. Though I haven't heard any complain from her everytime I do the request, the fact that she needs to drive 4 hours with the sticky donut to reach our province and hand to us our request. Once with us, it is already a feast. And eating it is so easy for we don't get messy and sticky..maybe it is just a matter of technique...

For all my familhy has eaten through the years, I think you respect the warm mess for such a tender warm gooey glazed donut. Not sure about the technique but I do know when they had the light turned on their sign saying they were hot now you would see cars skamper through to grab them while they were warm and still freshly made. I gotta get my blood drawn up by there maybe I will get a dozen to bring home (yep devil made me do it LOL) Thanks for sharing.

we don't have too many krispy kreme outlets here in Canada and though i have tried one, we generally go to the nearest Tim Hortons (a huge donut and coffee chain here in Canada) but we never buy a box, we only just usually buy one and eat it right away.

Hi cher yes I have heard of Tim Hortons in Canada I have two friends that go to them. My one girlfriend will take her little daughter in for a muffin and she always asks for either the banana nut or carrot cake muffins telling her mommy that if she eats one of those they are healthy for her and she is only 6 LOL Out of the mouth of babes LOL

If they were hot Krispy Kremes, I don't think I could wait to eat them. Those donuts are so delicious and to have them freshly hot?! They're a million times better. Unfortunately, I don't have a Krispy Kreme store nearby but my grocery store and Walmart will sell them in a box and sometimes I like to treat myself to those. I usually put them in the microwave a few seconds to get them hot and gooey. I'm hungry for those donuts now lol!
