We go through life so focused on what we want and don't have, we forget to priase and be happy for what we do have! I was watching my role model Oprah and she said she keeps a journal to write down 5 things she is grateful for each day. I thought was a great idea. So now i make sure every day I write down 5 things I am grateful for.
So, what are you grateful for today? Please share

I'm grateful for my my relationship with God, for my husband and my daughter. Life can be stressful. And I agree with you that so many of us focus on getting what we want that we can forget what we have. It's really important for us to remember this so we don't forget what's really important in our life.

it's very true. we focus so much on the future, we always forget that in this moment there is magic happening! a stranger smiled at us. or we got a sit on a crowded subway. or my daughter saying "I love you Mommy" outside of her school yesteray. She thinks saying that in front of other kids is embarrassing. So when she said that yesterday, I was soooooooooooooooooooooooo happy!!!

I hope that you continue to do what you are doing and that your plans for the future work out the way that you would like. We all have goals and expectations that we would like to see fulfilled. And it is nice when we are able to our realizations come true.

Today I am grateful for my ability to work part time from home and my flexible schedule to help out around the house and my family members when needed. The schedule also allows me time to go back to school and further my education.

It is so True. Many times we do focus more on things we don't have, instead of the things we have. We often are feeling down and Sorry for ourselves, and wanting more. Even if we have more than most, we never take time to Stop and smell the Roses, and be Thankful for what we have.
I am grateful for my wonderful husband, my job, my Health, even when I am not feeling the Best, and a relationship with Jesus Christ as my personal savior. I am also grateful to all my friends here in myLot who have helped to make this the wonderful site that it is.

I had started doing that a few years ago but got out of the habit and have not done it in a while. Thanks for the reminder that I need to get back to doing that everyday as well as some of the other things I do to keep my spirits lifted. I am grateful that I FINALLY walked away from a relationship that was getting more and more abusive. I am thankful for being able to come home and find it a peaceful sanctuary. I am thankful I was able to keep my daughter in the school she has been in for the last 5 years, as we are a close knit community and the parents have been extremely helpful and supportive us (my daughter and me) through all our trials. I am thankful for the new friends I have met over the last year who have also been very gracious to us and who I have been able to be very open and honest without fear of judgement. I am thankful for finding a doctor and a therapist who understands my fibromyalgia and depression issues and takes them seriously. The thing about doing this exercise is it keeps you grounded in the truth that there are plenty of good things happening and it puts the bad things into proper prespective.

That my kids spend the day enjoying themselves and most of all if I am able to lay in my bed within 1 hour time.. the whole day I feel already sooo extremely tired.
