Donna Summer . . . I think of my roller skating days and being on the school bus listening to some disco station overhead. "Hot Stuff", "Bad Girls", "Last Dance", "On the Radio", "She Works Hard for the Money", "The Woman in Me" . . . some of my all time favorite. That was shocking to hear as I know she was still rather young. RIP Donna Summer!

It is sad that she passed. She was a wonderful singer. One of my favorite songs from her is Mac Arthur Park. She was so young.

She was one of the great ladies in music! I was from the disco era. It was awesome music, and in some Discos, her song Last Dance was always the last song played as closing time. She was a very religious lady and as far as I know in my almost 60 years did she ever get into trouble. I was actually in the army in 1970 when I first heard her. My parents would have never let that kind of music be in their home LOL but I think it was a much cleaner style of music than some music made now.

I imagine her music was a much cleaner style than the music that is popular today. She will certainly be missed. Thank you so much for your service.

I heard about her passing earlier. Definitely sad news. I still listen to her song "This Time I Know It's For Real" from time to time. It brings me back to my days of transitioning from middle school to high school. R.I.P. Donna Summer.

I never heard of her. My daughter mentioned her this morning but I have never heard her name before. Maybe I knew her music and just never knew her name.

You might have heard her music. She sang, "Hot Stuff," a song that was popular in the 1970's.

i always associate her with the 1970s and cannot remember hearing anything from her lately at all. i wonder what she had done in between those years. too bad she has passed away, sixty three is very young these days.

I was sorry to hear that she passed away. I didn't know she was sick. I remember in 1980 I had an 8-track tape (lol) of her greatest hits. I had just recently gotten the tape and Hot Stuff was playing when I got into the first car accident I ever had. (No one was hurt. It was the other driver's fault.) I really liked her duet with Barbra Streisand, Enough is Enough.
