Android programming careers

Hello mylotters,
As a software engineering student, i wonder that, how many years could be the android operating system craze runs over the market. I am planning to take it as my carrer and i am in the foot steps of learning it. It was really interesting to work on it. Any suggestions ipon chosing this platform as a career step for a fresher?

Android will be gone before you finish the course. But don't worry, just go for open source programming in C on a Linux base and you will be set for life. Why? Because Android is just that! C on a modified Linux base!
Don't be dazzled by the fancy names. Everyone copies from Linux - even Microsoft.
And don't forget the ARM programming on raspberrypi! That's Linux too!
