Movie battleship 2012, what you think?

This is a relatively new movie which I watched with my girlfriend last April in Cinema. It is actually a movie produced by the same people who produced Transformers. So you can expect the same actions, excitement and gigantic machines in the movie.
The movie is rather funny to me besides all the actions. The scene about main male actor trying to get chicken burito for the main female actress was really funny. Besides other mistakes he did. While it is quite a huge contrast when he is the one who lead the remaining survivors in destroying the Aliens.
So, What do you have in mind about the movie?

I spent my money on the two movies that matter the most: "The Hunger Games" and Marvel's "The Avengers".
I have heard about Battleship, and having played the old school game, and being a fan of the game, I don't know if I would really want to see the movie.
Yes, I love Alexander Skarsgard (Hottie with a great Viking body), and Taylor Kitsch (super hot), but I just don't know if this movie will really be that great. If I do watch this film it'll only be for Alexander and Taylor because who can ignore hotness of that magnitude.

Just like Marvels The Avengers, I rated Battleship 10 over 10. It is such a good movie. I have watched it on its premier same as with The Avengers so enjoy because there's a lot of people inside the theatre. I didn't even thought that Rihanna is there. It's very amazing and one of the best movie ever. It's the second highest earning movie.

I watched it last night for the first time, Sky Premiere was showing Battleship, I missed out on seeing it at the movies, it so reminded me of Independence Day with a sterling role by Liam Neeson, he's a great actor! I enjoyed the film, it was a bit slow at first, but when the real battle commenced it got more exciting.

Hello my fellow mylot-er.
Yes the burrito scene was really funny, especially the fact with his dad at the end ( not saying more, don't want to spoil it for people who have not yet seen the movie).
I really enjoyed the movie, more then the last transformers where they eliminated story consistency to replace it with really slow motion action that can actually drag a movie from the good side to the bad site, from action to boredom.
Battleship had the perfect mix of slow mo with fast passed action.

I think that it looks pretty generic just like most action movies and I think that they might as well just call it transformers with boats. I don't think it really looks like that great of a movie and I definitely won't go and watch it in theaters and won't watch it when it comes out on dvd or anything like that either. A lot of the new movies are coming out are just so similar to the rest of the movies that they are producing it's hard to really get motivated about actually watching any of them.

Yeah, one reason with seemingly similarity between movies may be the lack of ideas. Some movies got their ideas from novels and that is what make them different.

I don't think it really looks like that great of a movie and I definitely won't go and watch it in theaters and won't watch it when it comes out on dvd or anything like that either. i had watch the movie and my first impression is great due to overwhelming fight scenes. but on the later part the story line is not well made, and it is a disappointment because it is a high paid movie with no good script. but if you like action movie it is a movie for you due to its breathtaking stunts and new concepts of allien machineries.^_^

I thought it was not that great really. It certainly lacked a great storyliine but I guess the action in it is meh
