My pet dog Sibaa passed away today. My husband gave her to me back when we were still in College that was in year 2001. Having her for 11 years was such a blessing, she gave me so much joy, her loyalty to me is uncomparable. She will be missed, though I still have Sachi, Princess and Cotton as my pet dogs, still no one can replaced My Sibaa, she's a very special dog. She died because she was not able to recover when she gave birth to a premature puppy, unfortunately the puppy did not survive as well. So long Sibaa, thank you for the 11 years of friendship and loyalty, you will be always remembered. Till we meet again. ;(

Hi Auds. I'm sorry to hear about your most treasured pet dog's demise. But at least she has given you her other children. Imagine being with you for 11 years ! Was that years as to humans, because a dog's life are said to be - one year equivalent to 7 years. What her breed ?

Hi Tita D, 11 years is equivalent to 67 years human age. She's an askal, but she's very special, she's so intelligent you wouldn't think that she's an askal. Oh unfortunately all of her puppies never survived. My remaining dogs did not came from her.

Really, she's just an askal? And to think that she has made you happy during those years. Well, she's 67 years old and just like humans she needs her rest already Auds. It's just sad though, that all her puppies never survived. Maybe her reproductive organs are not that well. Had she never had any puppy that survived?

Eleven years old is a bit too old for a dog to have puppies as all sorts of complications can occur. A bit like humans having babies at 67 - possible but not a good idea. Our girls have pups from 3 to 6 years old and then we spey them after that. So sorry to hear of your loss. It is never easy to loose an old friend.

I agree, she's a bit too old to have puppies at her age. Actually I didn't know that she will be having a puppy, I only found out when she gave birth. I will miss her, but at least she will no longer endure the pain that she has felt during the last 3 days of her life, She's in a better place now Thank you for sharing your thoughts.

After a long time, you back again... Yes, Till we meet again, and it shows how confident you are how attach you with your pet. I remember Lucy/Pency, my dear dogs who left long year ago and I still salute on their bravery and rare behaviours. Lucy, the lovely black dog, was given to my sister-in-law and it was about 35 kms. walking distnace and a foresty remote village. I visited their place after 3 years, I left the dog and after staying with them for 2-3 days, I returned back to my home. It was a surprise for everyone that we got an unexpected guest, Lucy on a mid-night at our home. She followed my path and return to my home after 5 years without anyone's help. She was taken back after a year and captured by a tiger when we gone for a hunting. She was my ever loving pet and so dear and beautiful and loving.

Yeah, it's been a while. I've been busy and unfortunately I couldn't think of what to post as discussion. Indeed dogs are man's bestfriend. I'm sorry about your pet. It seems that she's a very intelligent dog.

I am sorry for your loss. It has been very long time with you. You will never forget her because I think you will feel guilty for all your life as Sibaa passed away because of you. I can't imagine how you let her become pregnant at eleven years old!? It's like a woman was pregnant in her 70s!

It's truly sad what happened with your Siba. I'm sure you and her had shared everything beautiful and wonderful together in 12 years. We used to have a dog back there in our parents house, one dog only last for 3 or 4 years the most and will be replaced with another one. Mostly because they're too big too handle and our neighbours hate the barking sound. I always feel sad to let them go.
