i guess this is the only character that will make you think ... what is Grimace. most of the kids are scared of him for the kids does not understand what is this character. i myself does not know what is this? i think he is a mushroom? har har har he looks like a large one, thought the color makes me think that he is not a mushroom. of course we all know hamburglar, birdie but what is grimace. my nephew asked me this question and i really dont know what to say.

Ha ha - I haven't thought of Grimace in a long time! He was one of the classic McD's characters - is he back again? He's just a purple monster of some sort - I don't think he was meant to be any particular animal or mushroom - ha ha. But that is a good question - what the heck is he? Maybe that's why he is named Grimace - because he is doesn't know what no one knows what he is - ha ha!

He probably has no meanings, just a promotional gimmick commonly used by this giant hamburger joints to get more kids pressure their parent bring them to the store, the character created by this big food restaurant chain sometimes is plain silly and the main purpose is to cash in on some children comic characters from sesame street or ice age movie, i won't take it too serious.

I think McDonald's and Burger King should have zombies as their characters. Why do I say that? Simple, they are no good for you. All that food is not really food at all. It is all unhealthy stuff to be eating. So their commercials should have zombies walking around saying they ended up that way from eating McDonald's.

grimace I think is inspired from the sesame street puppets, he is a monster like Elmo and cookie Monster. i remember that a documentary saying during the 70's he is supposed to be a villain who steals Mcdonald's sundaes. But during the 80's he have a face turn, he became a good guy and one of Ronald Mcdonald's friends. I think Mcburglar is the last mcdonald villain.

Maybe he is a mutant Starfish. You know...like Sponge Bob Square Pants Friend that is called Patrick. He is a starfish. Maybe Grimace's mom was an eggplant and his Dad was a starfish? lol :-)
