No it is not the Champions League final between Bayern and Chelsea. In fact, the costliest match seems to the Championship playoff match between Blackpool and West Ham. The winner will win promotion to Premier League and that means such a windfall for the club that it is being dubbed the costliest match of the world.
Personally, I am big fan of West Ham and would like to see them back in the Premier League.
Cheers!

Ok I need some backstory. How good is Blackpool? West Ham? Is this short for West Hampshire?

West Ham United is one of the older clubs of England. What I like about this club is the brilliant youth academy of this club. Some of the top players playing today like Lampard, Joe Cole etc. are all outputs of this academy. But over the past few years this club had fallen on bad times and had got relegated last year. So they are trying to come back.
On the other hand, Blackpool is a small club trying to make it big. Last year they too got relegated despite scoring 39 points which was really unlucky. Usually if clubs score 40 points they are good enough to be safe in the EPL. This year QPR managed to stay in the League with 37 points.
Cheers!

Thanks. Ok. I'll take Blackpool, the little club that could, to win 3-2.

Well, I'm from Blackpool originally so, naturally want them BACK IN the Premier League. I've bet them to win 3-2! Get their revenge on The Hammers!

I have watched both West Ham and Blackpool play in the first league before, and both teams have the potential to stay in the league though West Ham has more appearances than Blackpool. When I watched Blackpool's matches last season, they were one of the more hardworking sides I have ever seen.

Apparently not. Of course, you are right if you consider that if Chelsea are there in the league round of Champions League, they are odds on favorite for making the knockouts and then the earnings go higher. But currently they have only calculated playing the league stage of Champions League vs. the value of playing in the Premier League. With 38 matches, the earnings of Premier League are much larger.
Cheers!
