Yesterday, we lost another musical great, Donna Summer. She was known as the Queen of Disco, a title that many are stating that she was uncomfortable with. One of my favorite songs by DS was Last Dance. I think she had an incredible powerful voice and you can check it out on youtube if you have never heard it. She was also a talented visual artist in her later years. Her music lives on!!!!! RIP, Donna Summer!

I am so sad to see her leave us, what a voice and entertainer. She raised a beautiful family inspite of her fame. She had a long-lasting marriage which is so rare when it comes to celebs. All these achievements while battling cancer in the end of her life. She will be greatly missed. Rest in Peace, Donna.

Yes, Roberten, I saw a clip of her yesterday and someone asked about how she was able to sustain a long lasting marriage and she said, "Get out of Hollywood." I have heard that advice before from other celebs and it makes so much sense if you are trying to create some sort of semblance of a normal life. I applaud her for living her life on her terms and providing us with great entertainment. I had not seen her on Idol or Platinum Hits. Had you? I know there is a great clip of her singing, "Last Dance" with David Foster and Friends on youtube from a few years ago. You should check it out if you haven't seen it. Her music lives on!

Rewardsinlife, she was definitely an underrated talent. If you get a chance, check out a later youtube video (not sure if I can put the link here) with her and David Foster singing "Last Dance." She had an incredible voice....before Whitney, before Beyonce, before Rihanna.....there was a serious singing sister named Donna!
