Untouched Wallet

One of the best things about shopping with my mom is that it always left my wallet untouched. I am already working and I am used to buying stuff for my self. But whenever I am out with my mom, she never allows me to pay for the things we buy because she just wants me to save the money for my future.
While it can be conscience breaking sometimes, it still feels good most of the time. Thank God for wonderful mothers like my mom.

Hiya ladyH.,
How nice of your Mom to be like that. It would be really nice to have a Mom like that it really would.
I was always used to buying things for myself since I started work but I would have liked to have a Mom that could buy me things and let me save.
My Mom worked but she worked for her house to get it paid and said she would leave me the money when the time came.
I can understand that and I did understand it.
I never got the money for various reasons but it is indeed the thought that counts more than anything.
So I was left with the thought that counts and that is much better than nothing at all.
You enjoy your Mom she sounds so lovely lady.xxx

Hiya ladyH.,
Ah what I really meant to say too that my Mom passed on ages ago now. I was lucky that at least she thought of me in that sense.
But the inheritance was not to be it all went to the others instead how I will not say but it´s the usual way things are done anyway so I did not stand a chance and could not do anything about it.
Cherish a Mom like yours she really loves you as well thinking of you like that.

Hello friend, mothers in general are great. You are lucky as well to have a mother who thinks of your future. I guess that is what matters most. Have a great day to you and your mom

That's very generous of your mom, my friend.
But surely she has her own money that is way much for her to spend, so she shares some with you.

Hello simplyd, yes, my mom, at her age still works for her company. She is hardworking like that. All of us, her children are already working and have a job of our own that is why most of her and my dad's money are all for them that is why they have some extra to treat for us their children

Oh , so that explains for her generosity to all of you.
But if she doesn't have a money of her own, or not financially able it will be you, her children who should be giving her. Right?
Oh, i already long for that day too.

Oh yes my friend, if she retires from her work she will still be able to have some money every month as per company's policy but we will make sure that we will be providing them with everything that they need most especially money. I guess best moms like her deserve it from their children

Hi!
It sounds interesting that whenever you are with your mother you do not require to spend a penny. You see mothers are the most special on this earth and the love and affection they shower on their children is unparalleled. You are very lucky.

Hello friend, it is very humbling experience to have been blessed with a mother like her. And I will definitely follow to her footsteps and do the same thing for my children in the future.

I have just got a job as well, and if anything I am probably earning more money than my Mum, but she will always still buy things for me when we are out shopping. Having said that, she is 47, and her Mum still buys things for her when she takes her shopping so I think that it is just something that never changes in a relationship. I went shopping at the weekend and put a lot of clothes in the basket, and then got to the checkout and Mum said that she was going to pay. I was a little bit guilty because I had put a lot of things in, but I think that it is something that she enjoys doing, and I am very grateful for it because it means that I am able to save more money towards my house.

hello GemmaR, I think that is the thing about mothers, no matter how big their children gets, they always take pleasure in treating them once in a while while they can. For sure time will come when it will be our time to do the things that our mother takes pleasure in doing. But before that, it would be wonderful if we can repay them with their kindness. Happy myLotting

My late mother-in-law was like that with me. She always bought things for me and I would do the same for her. I remember one year Randy wanted to watch the Super Bowl (the stupid Bowl as she called it) and she called me up and said, "how about we steal the car and go shopping while Randy watches the Stupid Bowl on tv". I loved spending time with her and being able to talk to her. she was more than a mother-in-law to me she was also my dearest friend.

Wow you are very lucky randylovesdar, not everyone I know has the same relationship with their mother-in-law like you do. It's good to know that you treat her as your dearest friend as well.

As a "Thank You" to your mother..Maybe swing by her place, tell her that it is your day to treat and that she is to leave her wallet at home this time, beg and plead with her and don't take no for an answer. She may compalin about it all night long but she will love you more for it because she will know that you are not taking her generousity for granted. Good Luck:-)

This is a great idea Lizomatic, thank you for sharing that. I have treated my mom to a spa and dinner before, I paid for everything and believe me, we sounded as if we are fighting over the counter because she keeps on insisting to pay it herself. IT was so funny, but I ended up paying for everything so all was well. I guess I may have to do that again, but only this time, I will pay head of time so that she can not do something about it anymore

I too love shopping with my mother since childhood at many occasions we went out shopping but for mom things are still the same even though I am a big girl with kids now. I think I can understand her feeling better after Turing into a mother myself.so many a time a shop for her it gives me internal peace and relaxation.

Hello swapmind, it feels good when your mom still treats you like her little princess even if you are already grown up. I love that feeling. Nothing can compare to that, I must say.
